i've tried all versions of windows 7 , trust me, even the lite builds... theres always issues. u get random popups about drivers or certain .dll's missing. windows 7 ultimate 64bit has worked just fine for me all these years. rather stick to an "official" iso build . install windows 7 lite or any modded versions that have the least 'bs' software , you'll be getting '.dll' missing all the time. i understand its ncie to have an OS thats been stripped from all software not needed but sometimes certain software needs to be there otherwise u get errors .

its like having a car, of course if youre building it to race, you want to gut it out/ remove seats,etc (to begin with) ....then u start removing certain things that the car needs to run properly. remove the radiator (its gonna overheat/warp the engine) . remove the steering pump or steering pump belt then the steering wont be soft while still.

just my opinion, maybe one day i actually start making decent money from music i wont have to explain or support older systems cause i'll have money to have nice stuff. lol

I never had any of those issues you mentioned. In fact, I have installed this Lite in almost 30 systems and no issues at all. None of the members that I have given a copy to have reported any issues. I can run ANY music related program WITHOUT issues. By the way, Lite versions are based on what you call "official ISO" without the garbage Microfuck adds. Ultimate is the worst of all. Bloated with things we would never need to make music. At the end of the day, mine was only a suggestion. Members are free to install whatever they feel comfortable with. As the saying goes, "better the devil you know than the devil you don't". Thanks for replying.

It depends a lot on what you're using your Windows 7 for. I just use it for audio, and some video editing sometimes. For me, lite versions worked extremely well, except when it comes to some unusual demands from a program or a driver, from usually big companies who have corporate minded, inexperienced, but full of ego programmers onboard.

i use the desktop "workstation" with windows 7 for strictly music, and some office applications here and there. i tried downgrading my windows 10 laptop to windows 7 but no go, too much bs something about the drive being gbp or something like that. so have i gotta live with it. hate that its basically got like 2 control panels.annoying.

the laptop is actually bone stock. bought it the way it is, hp elite blah blah /i7-6700hq, got it for backup/ live dj mixing using traktor...but tried doing a windows 7 install, but idk what it is. some shit about the hard drive being gbt not compatible . i dont get it. its all good though, running windows 10 on the laptop i use for live mixing/shows (this one im using now actually) . just trying not to pay attention to windows 10 looks and extras .just focusing on the doo-daa's i know. that windows classic shell thing works but idk. sometimes its better to keep things simple.

 

we need to riot and boykott on such shit but its utopic nowadays hats why they can do such..

OL was buying new pc today...win10....and when win11 comes out she need to send cd to microsuck and they send win11...she must ...the clerk told her...but she had just a pc in hand no win10 install cd...
