MIDI (musical instrument digital interface) is many times also been called wrongly like. Music instrument direct information or. any other form. which makes me laugh .But again that knownledge doesn't buy new generations nothing. for them MIDI is or USB or what they see on their screen. And who can be against evolution. ... euh

Yeah, but I've experienced that the new gen DO care enough about the name of something, at least to wrongly assume that it means continuous controller. Imho, that's devolution, not evolution.
I can think of a situation where this misunderstanding causes confusion. Some MIDI hardware have hard-coded/unchangeable MIDI CC's on continuous controller pots. They be like "why can't I send the MIDI CC I want from this 'CC'! lol
And of course other continuous controllers don't send any MIDI out at all. That knowledge could "buy new generations" something: time!
Perhaps I'm part of the new gen from your point of view, as I've been clicking a mouse since the Atari/Steinberg days; it was nicer than using the Roland MC boxes prior!
I still go 'Wow' at MIDI learn though! It's so cool.
