No, but I started the project at the same time as the beginning of the events, I suppose that unconsciously it had to impact the creation ...

 

i like tempo and developing...what is ambient ? pretty open field too isnt it...
but there is also trip hop..and 4*4 in it

I would have left the beats out. I'd go deeper into listening to the textures, but the beats kept my head above water when I could have drowned in the sounds.

No criticism at all implied, I almost always hear tunes as being "like" other tunes.

1st track is

"Faaaaaaaadddeee oooouuuutt Agaaaaaaaaaiiiiinnnnnnnnnnn"

C E A? Radiohead "Fade out"?

Nothing wrong with that - I love that song. It's not a criticism.

2nd track I like the bass and the gated stuff, which doesn't sound classic and corny. I wish that big synth line near the end went on more though - that's a nice big synth line (where everything else drops out and the sounds of fire (?) take over and then a load of FX) I wanted more of that.

3rd track - i like all the violin lines (?) mixed with the stuttery sort of stuff. And I'm a sucker for bits of vocals like that.....I would like more made of it. It seems there are (bits of) vocals all the way through the whole album, and I really like it. Personally I'd like more of it. When vocals mix with synthetic sounds it can just be .....wow. I know you're not trying to redo Sadeness but.......more of that vocal stuff mixed with your sound could/would lift it to a whole groovier and emotional level. Again, no criticism meant, just an expression of my wish for where the music might (and could) go. Hell, I would be reaching for a great big kick and trying to get it stomping. But that's me. :D

Somehow I am onto track five.........and there's certainly nothing I can tell you about making a record. What can I possibly tell you about it that you don't already better know?

FWIW, I'd be really proud of that. Good fucking job. Thanks for the listen. The only thing I can think of saying is that I want you to make more of what you have, so as to please me the listener even more. Meh - whatever - why listen to me? I enjoyed it. With more confidence and making more of your own sound, it will be even better, I'm sure. But you know that already, I suspect. :D Good luck!

I understand what you mean, I'm aware of it
This project does not seek to be part of a conventional approach, I wanted to do something quite personal. What is odd for me is that about 2 or 3 weeks after the release I realized that there was a striking similarity with different periods of my life. The power of the unconscious!

 

For those who are interested and who are not afraid to increase the volume a little I put a new track as a bonus, a dynamic version of the project (-13LUFS / -0.1dBTP) available for download. More space, more movements, closer to what i had in mind !

@TERAK just finished listening to the entire album... I don't have one single negative word to say about it. Absolutely love it.
