Still retaining clarity etc? So eli5 how to make a sound sound huge but still nice and snappy? Also when to use what type of reverb in general? For now I just put a verb on the channel tweak some stuff play with dry wet n that’s it... I have TSAR-1, Uvi Plate and Space designer to work with. Any experts want to share their expertise? Thanks!

    Peace from Amsterdam!

Time predelay to track bpm (calculator: http://nickfever.com/music/delay-calculator )

Make sure to EQ and compress the Reverb channel so it doesn't get too muddy, too bright, too noticable or develops some sort of own dynamics. Maybe be lazy and go for a "clarity"-preset on a multiband-comp at least as a starting point.

Use M/S-processing to spread it (most tools for M/S come with knobs or presets for that).

Layer verbs. Long/Short or Long/Middle/Short. Long for melodies and pad-like stuff, middle basically anything that needs some fattening, short basically everything as glue.

I forget that myself most of the time:mad: but those are definitely points that can work if you remember them.

What tools do you recommend for M/S processing, also I never used it, never got my head around it. Can you elaborate a little bit?

use your verb as a send then sum bus all your vox or instruments to 1 track
    [On Verb TracK]
    1.EQ - Before Verb
Hi Pass Filter to 600hz max
LO Pass Filter to 4k max
    tuck some offensive mids
2.Verb - "focus on Predelay , Decay , Early Reflection Trim"
Set Pre-Delay to match tempo , Preferably around 1/64 to 1/32
Set Decay to taste as its the length of the tail
Trim Early Reflection if have option to, set to only have an obvious tail but not fully damped in verb
    3. trim the verb to taste

    1) Use sends
    2) EQ/filter the source before the reverb (AKA Abbey Road Trick)
    3) duck/SC compress the reverb to the source (reverb ducks when vocalist is singing)
    4) Use predelay to make room for vocal intelligibility
    5) ???
    6) PROFIT!

    Who is eli5?

    @Baxter eli5 = eplain like I'm 5
There is an entire subreddit dedicated to this: https://www.reddit.com/r/explainlikeimfive/

M/S tools... Lindell 354E, SPL Vitalizer MK-2, Kazrog ValveQ, Klanghelm VUMT Deluxe, even Softubes Drawmer S73 (very easy to use thanks to modes which is why I slap it on channels I don't want to think about and just want to be wide and clear). You want to get basses in the center and control them there and shape the brighter parts to whatever the track requires.
