wasgedn just upgrade it !
in Ableton it has faster , sequence for live performance
but in reason I found it really fun , you can mapping even the preset buttons
even the drum kit sequence patter , you can do really complex stuff on fly ,
In Ableton I like only working with a simpler rather then that , the workflow is weak for me as the Main workflow Daw. specific the arrangement window

if you in Reason 9.5 I just suggest you wait to next release then upgrade !
and check the complex 1 / Retro Drum Kit Expansions / and Drum Kit /
in found many expansion rack which cost nothing and they sounds better then many hardware in my taste !

No, after activating you can use it offline like the software, and R.E are very cool, no extra windows like vst, and you can almost modulate what you want with cv like standard reason devices

 

No joke, because i have upgraded from 9.5 for what they give with this upgrade it's a little bit expesnsive, so for you upgrade from 6.5 it's a very good deal
