I was wondering if there is a way to slice a sample or track as in Acoustica and the original Cakewalk 1.0.Both of these programs allow you to slice a sample or track by manually entering a numerical starting and ending point. This method I find it to be more accurate than the "Slice" tool in FL Studio. I have tried Edison which pretty much does that but doesn't give you the option to enter your slice points manually...unless it can do that and I just haven't figure it out. In the alternative is there any plugin able to do what I seek? Thank you.

for sure you can edit the markers or slice points.
in both Edison and SliceX.

You can edit the slice points but the only way I have found is by dragging the cursor over the wave form. Im looking for a way to do it by entering the points manually. Like from 0.01.000 to 1.02.000. Just like Acoustica does.

I actually had a need for something similar recently so I wrote my own "beat-synced realtime loopslicer multi-out".

Install ReaJS, save https://raw.githubusercontent.com/junh1024/Reaper-Surround/master/loop_slicer_6.txt into that effects folder, and use it.

It slices by fractions of beats (you can type in a decimal) so it may be a bit inaccurate.

NB: it is MULTI OUT so you will need to setup routing. Also, no smoothing so you may hear clicks.

 

Do I need Reaper?

 

ReaJS is for people that don't have reaper to load JSFX.
