    Hi!
This is my first Maschine track. Was just messing around but I kinda like the patterns (maybe the arrangement needs a little more work..).
Anyway, after my friend started to improvise words on it, suddenly it sounded much better and got a "hip hop" feel.

I made it at first just to practice Maschine but should I continue working on it?

    Thanks! :break:

J.S. Bach, L. van Beethoven, G. Verdi,R. Paganini are all dead. So, who can tell you what you have to do? :)

Sounds ok, but cheesy at the same time. You can always scrap that one or completely give it another go and see if you can improve it. Thanks for sharing and remember to always take constructive criticism like a professional.

Forget the fat sausage, loudness is not to be used for the sake of loudness. Like no matter what style music you produce, compressing the hell out of it would make it sound good. No. Anyone can do that. Do that if it suits your track style, that's far more difficult.

Just make the music, play with the plugins later. Especially when you're making your first beats. Don't hang out too much time with something you feel you got stuck on, move on. Can always get back to things with fresh ideas while you improve yourself. In time you'll start to notice things worth taking one step further, that is publishing somehow. Think that's good way ending projects that deserve it, publishing them in the end so they are done, completely out of hands. Until that step you've learned to produce, mix, master, in degree that it's fair to say without professional degree. Anyways giving good idea of various stages what comes to beat making.
Most importantly, if you're just rookie, don't build your passion based on things others have to say. Take opinions, hold onto decisions.

It is the guys who like to make sausages that make my life miserable, and art, and music in general. Go eat your sausages HPF and leave people who don't like them alone. Every idiot can slap a limiter on the master buss and make a stupid distorted piece of crap nowadays. You think you're clever? EVERYBODY can do it like the way I suppose you do it. Not everybody can make a decent piece of music that sounds nice these days, though. With the transients intact, of course. Also, read up on EBU R128 standard HPF, it's going to put to death the likes of you when the audio equipment starts to equalise the loudness of all the audio that passes through it. Then your stuff will sound just the way it's supposed to sound - like crap that it is. Make a test - limit a track to hell, and lower the loudness to match the loudness of the same track without the limiter. How does it sound now? Yeah, it sounds like crap. :) And the track that wasn't limited sounds great, isn't it? ;) I am thankfull that EBU R128 is finally bringing the closure to that loudness madness that ruined so so many what could have been good sounding albums. It's SAD. :( The music of the beginning of this century will be remembered as "THAT DISTORTED CRAP".

So I actually applaud the poster for not taking out all the life out of your track with the limiter, and it sounds nice[r] and refreshing. However, it is rather undeveloped and short, like music for some intro? Maybe it was your intention to do just that. Thanks for sharing! Learn from mistakes, and prosper, never give up. The loudness of it s not a problem at all, it's its feature, and makes it more unique sounding in these terrible times for music. :) And what Lyric8 said. d= ;)

I make noise and industrial electronica, btw. I never limit more than 1-3dB until it's about K-14 loudness, and it sounds awesome, especially when you play it through big systems. The transients give it so much more punch! Limited crap sounds just like you've put a piece of noise through the speakers. it doesn't make you jump or punch you in the face. It just sounds annoying, flat, flatlined, dead.

    Cheers!

    Thanks all!

I'll leave it for now (just for now!) becuase I want to focuse more on other things.
I'll get back to that and maybe in a few weeks I'll share the end results, words and all.

    Thanks again.
