I never sent a PM on this site,sorry if I did an error...I didn't know how to do that.
I'm not English too,I don't speak it very very well so.
Also I didn't respond quickly because my internet connection didn't work anymore...Because I didn't get enough money to pay my bill. So I didn't write wrong thingies when I said I couldn't buy Serum these days.

Otherwise I have resolved my problem to update Serum.
Before updating Serum I deleted in my vst folder the "XFer Serum" folder. But I had two folders whith "Serum.dll" files!! I had an other one in my vst folder called "Serum XFer" that I didn't see among my others vst....That was the problem...

To finish I didn't know that asking a question about a warez software was so bad appreciated on this site.I won't write a thread like this again.

Im having same issue, nothing thats been posted thus far has worked.. no matter WHAT i do, the about screen shows 1.073..

all i can see after a quick google are mac downloads for 1.2.1b3 Im on windows.. cant find any windows download for that version.

Also, I found 1.2.1b3, tried it.. same.. About screen still shows 1.073 and I have cleaned registry multiple times, deleted all folders etc...

Driving me absolutely insane.

You must remove all registry entries, data, everything related to Serum and reinstall. My W7 Pro x 64 system has 424 Keys and 102 Data items just for Serum 1.214.Sometimes it is best thing to install demo and remove it with Revo uninstaller or just use a Registry scanner like RegScanner 2.30 which is free. http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/regscanner.html

How did you fix it?

 

1073 is a magic number in audio, like 1176. Is it a sign?

 

You have to copy the plugin files manually into your vst dirs if the installer doesn't work for you.
Run 7zip, open the installer in it as archive, extract the files and copy/move them into your VST dir.

If you don't know your VST path, open regedit and navigate to

Code:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VST -> VSTPluginsPath

and if you're on a 64Bit OS, then also to

Code:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\VST -> VSTPluginsPath

You also can use this little batch script I wrote (works on Win 7 and 8 - don't know about 10):

There's also a Serum installer pref in the registry under

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\XferRecords\SerumInstallerPrefs -> InstallDirVst32 & InstallDirVst64

Thanks r4e, good info... After fighting with reg SEEKER for hours, I used reg SCANNERto properly clean the registry of EVERYthing Serum related.. then also changed the vst path from vstplugins to vstplugins\Xfer having done that, after a fresh install of the latest version.. everything was fine.
