if its yet yes...i would try out Audio Damage AD046 Quanta first maybe

For a granular fx plugin you can test Byome or SpecOps by Unfiltered Audio (Plugin Alliance), they both offer granular fxs in several shapes in their fxs modules.

Edited : also you have this one : https://glitchmachines.com/products/palindrome/. But I think you have to load your samples, it doesn't process the audio live like the others two do.

I have not much insight in this but I need an effecient plug I can manipulate my own sounds!.... so I guess a synth isnt really what Im looking for.

Ok.... it seems (as nearly always) the thread is taking the wrong direction!!!

I´ve bought the Melda Production MGranularMB and that´s not really what Im looking for .... can any recomment a better solution for such a VST (NOT VSTI!!!!) ?

I often come back to this one. It doesn't take time, a few adjustments can radically transform a sound, and not just in metallic like ways, it depends, the knobs are very effective. There are 2 modes, ''granular'' and ''phase voc''. I often use this for simple pitch tunings and for awesome natural sounding textures. The voices in this track were treated with this effect in ''phase voc'' mode:

You can use this on any instrument also, this effect is versatile and very useful, not only for extreme effects, it is capable of subtle beauty as well.

I would also recommend using Native Instruments Absynth 5 as a FX, it has excellent granular filter, ''cloud'', with an extra filter, also an incredible ''frequency shifter'' and ''ring mod'', which can achieve effects very similar to granular. A must try! Being able to adjust your parameters in Hz, transpose, note or ratio can be an extra plus. There's more, we're just scratching the surface, I highly recommend testing these effects with Absynth 5 as a FX plugin:

Originally (1998-2018) for Windows, now as VST 2 plugin for MacOS and Windows.

What: Granulation means chopping the sound into small overlapping segments and playing back just like the original, or twisted, or another time.
Howto: Load a soundfile and warp it -- time stretch, pitch shift, chorus or turn into static. Smooth transition to anything and back.
Control: Random, LFO, Soundfile amp/noisiness, from MIDI input, or by internal params.
Effects: Fold, overdrive, bitcrush (smoothed), dual filters (SVF), delay.
