After using this instrument in just one song to me would become redundant and old real quick...like right now. Make your own with the samples of your choice, or better yet, create your own. If you wanna sound exactly like a clone of this fellow go for it, otherwise step up and claim your sovereign artistry and express your own uniquely personal dream, that which resonates with who YOU are and how you walk standing upright, stalwart in regard to your creative life.

Maybe I'm a little (or a lot) bit over the top, but believe me, it is worth it to foster your own sound or style as a musician or as an artist of any genre or medium of expression. Otherwise, what is the whole point of it all.

I guess that you are a singer.The plugin shown above exemplifies the state of pop music nowadays. In a couple of years producers, singers, and musicians will be a thing of the past. Pop music will be created by machines with little human input.

 

But its far too easy to get the exact same thing going within your sampler... why would you wanna buy a plugin like this when you can achieve the same result across countless vocal takes within minutes?

Why get stuck with just a few chopped vocal bits spread out across the keyboard?

 

Achieve the same results with who? not everyone sings and not everyone has access to a singer that would do that for them.

 

The purpose is not release a demo with the plugin, it's more for writers that don't sing to have a tool to write melodies.

 

obviously he wouldn't be able to sell this one with Selena on it but he said he's working on different ones (probably with some unknown singers)

 

If you can't buy sample packs, there are countless acapella singing videos on YT... Just use those vocals and give credit to those singers... Most of them don't mind if you use their vocals in this way...

I only say this as you'd be severely limited for choices with this plugin... Unless he decides to release dozens if not hundreds of variations or presets within the plugin...

Of course, bottomline is always To Each His Own... If it works for you, thats great!

Saw something similar with Ellie Goulding chops for Kontakt a view month ago on youtube. Don`t know if that is the same guy.

Still don`t get it. What is the big difference if you write a Melody, between this and a simple arbitrarily lead sound?

This is not for "producers/songwriters" that can't sing. This is for producers/songwriters that can`t create music. If I had to listen to that baby like talk "kuku kaka bo bo " for more than 10 minutes if I write a Vocal melody, I would go completely crazy.

but seriously , if that plugin can add other artists ,it will be very useful

im not sure if cretu has the same plugin but enigma last album ''the fall of rebel angel'' (released a year ago)
cretu used vocals/adlibs from singer anggun to create similar vocals-synth sound in ''oxygen red'' from the
same vocals in that same song,he choose every adlib phrase to get that amazing keys
he might used vocals editor to chop and pitch the and remap them on his ''merlin'' workstation which has highend plugins
and private plugins he made just specifically for that machine

James (is it?) hi, you know I totally agree with your remark. I've been saying for years humans in pop music are on the way out. It will be scripts and algorithms before the century is out, prolly well before. Already today typing all but equals playing an instrument. I'm not saying we'll end up with no more "real" music eventually, just that humans are on the way out.
P.S. I guess I'll have to keep playing guitar 'cos I'm lousy at typing @qwerty.
