I have the Presonus USB asio driver and I can work in Ableton and watch Youtube videos at the same time. It came with my Presonus Interface so I don't know if it'll work with a different one.

I use WASAPI on audacity, since it allows me to record internal output(had troubles with MME and ASIO), in DAW C9.5.20 I use behringer ASIO driver with UMC1820. I´m afraid to use ASIO link because it could mess up my setup

I think ploytec did the drivers for my audio interface, so now I know why I can listen to YouTube at the same time I am using my DAW.

I think we forgot to mention R.I.P Australian developer O Deus
guess we do not have our life bought but what he created supersedes him.

His software was the best, voicemeter came close, but Deus is so simple and works for the same purpose.
Does anyone know the name of O Deus dev?

    From KVR thread:
" John Shield, the developer behind O Deus Audio, passed away unexpectedly last year.
His next of kin is trying to help out"

Thanks so much for this!!! This saved me from buying an audio interface with loopback (at least for the near future)

One question...is there a way to stop the Asio Link Pro GUI from popping up everytime I open my host....it's nitpicking but it's pretty annoying

Yes. The "ASIO Link Pro Tool" (the little pink icon in system tray) has settings.
    In the check boxes:
under "Tool settings", choose: "Start minimized and START ASIO"
under "ASIO Link Pro settings", choose: "Start ASIO Link Pro minimized"

That will minimize everything on starting.

For multichannel audio from movies, try dragging each of the ASIOVADPRO SPEAKERS IN to ASIO HOST IN MIX.
I found various submixes, depending on the movie - cool to just get the music or sound effects, etc.

I found that for MONO source stuff playing through MusicBee (audiobooks), I had to drag a connection from ASIOVADPRO SPEAKERS IN #3 to ASIO HOST IN MIX #1 & #2.

Also handy to note: For quick opening and closing the windows to check settings, you can just click the tray icons to both open AND to close them. (handy especially when getting it all set up).
Also good to see which green icon is the main ASIO pro and which one is for the current host.
And ... the windows DO have titles at the top. For example: "ASIO Link Pro 2.4.4.2 - asiolinktool.exe" or "ASIO Link Pro 2.4.4.2 - Fl Studio", etc. I overlooked that at first and kept getting confused when saving and loading presets.

I still am vague a bit on the "why" of some of it, but have mostly figured out the "how"!

i have found those settings but for some reason, they are not available. The font is also fuzzy, indicating they are not applicable options.

I am not sure why. I do notice you are running a different version than i am.
Here is a link to the version 2.4.4.2 through Give Academy: https://give.academy/static/asiolinkpro.exe
I do not know if that will enable those settings.

Yes, this version enables those settings....butttt...with this version I get audio dropouts using my audio interfaces native driver and I can't get this version to work with ASIO4ALL at all.

The dropouts are frequent enough where I may have to roll back to the sister site crack..

Perhaps there's a simpler program that can allow me to route my audionto Maschine?? Asio Link Pro is the only one where I've been able to do it but it has much more bells and whistles than needed in my use case.

What sound device do you have?
I see you have the buffer set to 256 with 7.8 ms latency. I wonder if setting it to 512 would fix the dropouts.
I have my AudioBox USB set to 256, and that gives me a full 10.3 ms latency.
I get a lot of buffer underruns according to FL Studio but I wouldn't have realized if i did not look at the settings page and see it, but it is not causing dropouts that i have noticed.
I DID have it set to 512, but when i was recording live performance i wanted it lower.
If you are not recording live input there isn't a need to go too low with it.

So, what audio device are you using?

    @DoubleTake

I'm using a Behringer UMC204HD, I believe I've had it set to 256 by default, so that would have been the settings on the sister release as well....although now I can't remember if I was using ASIO4ALL with it.

    @Legotron

I've never used WASAPI...I thought on Win7 it was still vastly inferior to ASIO
