I've got a weird problem and hope someone has seen something similar.

I noticed that AudioThing plugins would randomly deauthorize themselves--usually Minibit, Outerspace or Speaker. The problem was easily solved by generating a new license, but the deauthorizations keep occurring. One time I had Recycling Bin open while launching a PT session and noticed the .ATL file for Speaker appeared as soon as the session started to load. I "restored" the file through Recycling Bin and that solved the authorization issue....until it moved back to Recycling Bin of its own accord again.

Running AudioUtopia's Pro Tools 12.5 on Windows 10 Home x64. I used a NO INSTALL version of AudioThing and manually moved the files into place (I don't get Symlinks).

I feel like a crack is screwing with me for entertainment, but hopefully this is a solvable issue.

Have you updated to the latest R2R version Maizelman
was having the same thing happen him till he updated the plugins a week or two ago
maybe he will drop in soon to help ya out.

 

Hi @EvilWaffles, as @momo pointed out I had trouble with the license deleting too, I tried VR versions and they always bombed after a short while. Only R2R versions are still working for me although I never used them in Pro Tools. But R2R have a modified AAX in their release, so it should work..

I have not tried NOINSTALL but if there is an R2R keygen inside, it's almost certain those won't work. I doubt that Noinstall were able to patch those better than VR or as accurately as R2R.

 

Make the authorisation files read only. Or if that doesn't help, make the permissions for them even more restricted. Problem solved.

How can I tell if I have the latest R2R version? I'm not sure if I even have an R2R version.

 

I had the same problem with legit and k'd so i deinstall k'd no problem now

Have tried that with VR's release and it only works a short while, after that the license gets moved to recycle.bin again and again, the demo message appears and sound dropouts start every 45 seconds. Which release do you use?

I'm never on the net with my production computer and the plugins still bombed, so it might help when using R2R's, although I don't think it is necessary, but it definitely won't help with other versions (VR, NOINSTALL)

When you use the NOINSTALL release, it might contain a keygen from R2R, but it still is not the original R2R release, which you need because every other plugin version has to be patched accurately, and noone except them managed to do that so far.

The latest R2R releases of the plugins you mentioned above are:
AudioThing miniBit v1.5.1 Incl Patched and Keygen-R2R
AudioThing Outer Space v1.2.0 Incl Patched and Keygen-R2R
AudioThing Speaker v1.1.0 FIXED (WiN and OSX)

There was a newer version of speaker by VR but it's likely that it will revert to demo at some point. miniBit and OuterSpace are the most recent updates.

Is it generally considered more unstable to mix VR releases with R2R and TeamAir? I'm currently using all three. Is it allowed to share the best website for finding R2R releases? I see something referred to as the "sister site" sometimes.

I would contact the customer support of audiothing and ask if theres a fix for your version of the plugins, otherwise im afraid you have to buy to avoid bugs
