So I have really never hear anything like this. It's similar to a talk box but doesn't alter you voice. It's more like the SFX matching the pitch of your voice. It's kinda hard to explain. I attached a Female and Male sample. They are speaking in Japanese there is no English but it doesn't really matter. What would you call this and how would you do it???

 

Its modulation effect, like Chorus with really high frequency and depth parameters. You can mix in a bit of the dry sample to hear some of the original voice.

I can reproduce this using Voxengo Analogflux or in Reaper using JS script called "JS/Guitar Chorus"

I don't know about Kontakt, what do you want me to apply the effect on? Do you have a sample that needs to be processed with this effect?

 

No not really. I'm just curious on how to do that kind of stuff with vocals. Could you do it with any random vocal clip from the internet? Do you use some kind of SFX or did the modulation just create it in those clips I attached?

Voxengo Analogflux, put the depth and frequency dials to max. Adjust wet/dry dial until you are satisfied with the sound.

 

Ok I got it. How can I make this effect in realtime or live

 

In your DAW, on the track that has the effect plugin loaded, arm it for record and turn on the monitoring.

 

Its greyed out. I cant use it when trying to do it live.

 

Pretty simple to do it in Reaper, I don't know any other DAW unfortunately.
