    Hi friends
I am looking to edit several midi files because they are all shifted to a precise position in each measure.
The best way to fix this is to be able to make a multiple vertical selection (see image), or find a plugin that does a little what Spectrasonic's Time Designer does, but better.
Do you have an idea ?

Here is the multiple selection I want to automate :

    Any suggestions ?

I'm not really sure what you mean. You mean you want to have it precisely on the grid?

Then while in the piano roll

Alt + q. Adjust the end times to taste.

You want to add a "feel"?

Then make your own template. Any midi file will do, you just have to save it in fl studio format.

    Alt + q -> select groove template.

Thank you Riot7 but it's not that, it's true that I did not explain well.
If you look at the photo of the piano roll that I showed, you will see several selected notes on the same location, I want to be able to make this selection on a midi file that contains hundreds of bars.
Select the same note (or rather the same location of a note on all the measures (or bars) available, so I could move them as I please and correct the offset, as do the drummers for example (advance the snare, back down kick), but on several bars, not just one (since I can do it by hand if it was one or a few bars only).

Uhm, Cubase (my DAW) does this in a jiffy. Humanization, groove quantize, offset (stressed or "hang"), randomized offset (negative and/or positive time, for every note on/off), randomized velocity, swing, etc etc.

In Cubase piano-roll I can ctrl+click a piano note and all notes on this note/drum pad will be highlighted, and then I can offset all the gridded notes to anywhere I like. There must be something like this in Fruityloops.

There are also free and commercial MIDI plugins:

you can only do it manually
you can also try this method that i have not tried, record the midi notes, in this recording, make some difference in that

Not realy sure what you want to do but there are a few things you can mess around with.
you can use the select tool or magic lasso to pick the notes in a line like this.
From here you can eader group the notes so they all change size and position togetter when not hilighted
or you can use the quantizer to quantize just the hilighted notes or just resize and move the notes when there hilighted.
if you want to automate them changing size think the only way is changing each one at a time to fit the timeline.

In Reaper, you can "select by position in measure" which I guess is what you want.
Otherwise, any DAW that allows for creating custom groove templates should work as well, although the selection method is more clear and more specific.

Hi momo, "Select odd" is an example of what I want to do, when you choose "select odd", all the notes are selected according to a precise position, I want to be able to make the same selection, but on any other position on all measure / bars (example: the first note, the second ...)

Yes they will all be selected, but horizontally only, horizontal selection is available in all DAWs.
It's the VERTICAL selection that interests me.
    Is it possible too ?
Thanks Baxter for the links, I'll take a look and see if a plugin offers that.

According to Fiction, we can do it automatically, I'm looking for the Reaper command that he told me (select by position in measure) and I'll let you know.

    Yes fiction, that's exactly it!

And yes you're right, the selection is more useful and accurate than being able to modify the groove, because we can do after what we want of these selected notes

Do you have a video link showing reaper in action with this command? I am looking for and if I find, I will confirm or deny. thanks guys

No prob with Logical Editor in Cubase. There you can define a time-range within a bar and you can do this with several time-ranges at once.

Fantastic ! he does the work
I just searched if it is sold separately but unfortunately there is no plugin version, you do not know if there is a plugin that does the same thing?

I hesitated to post about the Logical editor right at the start because I know it's a special Cubase plugin, but maybe you'll find something similar in the list Baxter postet.

You won't find a plugin that does it because plugins cannot control DAW-specific functions.
Stuff like that has to be handled by the DAW itself.
I could imagine a collection of Python scripts for Ableton Live that do exactly what you want, but that's a different story.

It does not matter if it is not a plugin, as long as it allows the drag-drop or the midi copy to the clipborad
