    Yes, these are my videos. Would 'Our Music' forum be the proper section for user videos?

    I am jealous of the keyboard player :(:sad:

    That's why real musicians do not need that huge sample libraries.

    @InTheMix,
    It's amazing that you achieved such level of realism with this keyboard. You are the living proof that multi gigabytes libs are not mandatory when you are talented.
    Oh and by the way, I am surprised regarding the sound quality of the korg Kronos.

    Then that's the final proof that I'm not a real musician. :( [IMG]

    My Guitar playing techniques are poor so that's definitely the worst part of this spontaneous demo. As far as sample quality, of course Kronos can't compete with specialized sample libraries that have every articulation and mic placement under the sun...but it's a great tool for recording ideas when you don't want to waste time looking for sounds, or if you just want to record the structure first and then replace or layer voices with libraries. Other than that I still love my Keyscape, NI and EW stuff. I've yet to play Montage but I'm sure that one could be inspiring as well.

    I think it's mainly down to the Kronos, tbh. Sounds a bit DX7ish! I dunno if ya get kickbacks / employed by Korg? But it would defo make sense to use (ie) Amplesound / Kontakt libs for guitar / sax parts. (Although you do rly need foot controller. Or a couple extra fingers. Also patience!) I did like ur earlier sax demo thing, it was a bonus (to me) that it sounded like an accordian / had a funfair vibe! This was fine too!

    Anyway, just wondered what (camera) equipment ya use?

    It is difficult to do this afterwards, esp if you want to (ie) control wah pedal and vibrato and pitch bend AND keyswitches (for mute & "gliss"; hammer on/off I think guitarists call it =). It loses a lot of spontaneity, too. It rly is fun to "feel" ur way around a guitar, would srsly recd!

    From posts on Korg forums, looks like not too many are happy with factory Guitar Lead Sounds. Apparently, there are some nice Guitar libraries available so I'll give them a try. I've seen some badass keyboardists with amazing Guitar chops. Most of them probably play the real guitar as well, so that helps a lot as well. It's kind of hard to feel the Guitar when you're bullshitting your way through a weighted 88 key sometimes. ha ha ha
    My cameras are a Canon 60d II and a GoPro 6. All audio takes get recorded in Pro Tools, so I don't use the onboard sequencer. My audio interface is a ZenStudio from Antelope.

    Yeah, I feel ya! But it is wonderful to have even a lil extra bit of control, let alone a lot more control, over the sound. It's never gonna sound as good as the real thing. Well, until Guitarteq, I guess! Lot more fun to jam with, rly, tho. The other good thing about using libs is that it constrains you to the range of the guitar, so you don't end up going too "crazy", in a bad (unnatural) S&S way. I'd recd checking out the OTS Evolution series (Strawberry et al) and whichever Amplesound lib floats ur boat (AGG?). Evolution is good for fast (even "unnatural") arps and melody. I think Amplesound is better at comping + melody. They're all pretty lightweight (2-7Gb) tho. Just my 2 cents.
