I made a Dubstep Remix for Dubstep Remix for Bombs Away - Party Bass, a Remix Contest Entry. This is my first Dubstep Track, and since I'm not that into the Genre I would like some feedback. Please note that the Beatport quality is horrible

Cool remix! Not my genre but it sounds pretty damn wicked!

 

Maybe a snarehit shorter? Just once. Like the snare and kick sound....

1:16: hihat sound can be harder. I dont hear lots of hihats overall which i like.

3:16 party bass with kicks. Without kicks, just the vocal should be nice. Then it has a faster beat. Nice but the whole soundthing (dubstep bass and squeels) are just the same.

I miss risers (white noise riser or saw synth) for a build up. Also miss the crash or reverse crash cymbals. Should be nice to build up a song. In the second part which has a faster beat, you go back to the slower one. That is a shame! Lets make it faster!

And an extra synth sound at the ending?

So overall: shorter snare once, more hi hats, risers and crashes.

I have Risers and Rev CYMs in it, but they aren't very load... Will rember that when I make a new Dubstep track.
Maybe I will make and updated version, but for now I'll wait till the end of the promotion part...

Really would love to hear the updated version. It is weekend, so just a few hours and i think it is done. ;)

 

Yeah think I could do that (Have a long weekend because of carnival. But I have to spend a view hours getting drunk with my friends ). But I won't be able to upload it to the Remix Comp because it's closed for new entrys...
I will wait till the end of the Competition and then I'll make a soudcloud account... I guess then I could set it as a free download.
