    Hello,
is it possible to use the Ste *** erg Key USB eLicenser with the "audioz" software? If yes, is there a tutorial on how to do it? Or someone, who knows how to do it, sends me a message in private (if it is forbidden to talk about it on the forum). I'm a newbie and I've never used the usb key. So, before doing disasters, I ask. Thank you.

In case you really don't know anything...
Let's keep it simple, non-legit eLicenser software is either based on trial extension (which is possible by soft eLicenser; either "future" method, or V.R patch or V.R extender) or on eLicenser emulation (e.g. R2R kawa, AiR synsoemu). There's no USB key involved.

You might not want to use a real USB key along with V.R patch, but shouldn't do any harm, who knows. At least, you should stay offline (you should in general, when using non-legit stuff).

To address your question directly, one doesn't transfer a non-legit license to USB key.

Ok, I understood what you wanted to explain to me. Thank you very much:wink:. Now, if I understand correctly, I can use my usb key for legit software and, at the same time, use the simulator for non-legit software. It's correct? Another question: using the two solutions at the same time, could I have conflicts between the two methods?

    P.S.
Yes, after years spent with legit software I would like to try some non-legit software. And not knowing how they can live together I asked for information here.

Yes they can live together in perfect harmony.
I have legit Cubase and non legit others.
    Without any problems.

Usually not. Only thing I'm aware, the V.R extender will erase your soft eLicenser (don't confuse with USB key). :guru:
To avoid this either backup your soft eLicenser file or transfer soft licenses to USB key or extract V.R extender and only execute the license installation commands. Of course you don't need to worry about this if you don't use the V.R extender.

I have not yet encountered a software with "vr extender". I do not know the vr extender method and, as a result, I did not understand much of your answer. If you do not steal a lot of time, could you please explain to me?

It's simple. As long as you don't come in touch with eLicenser extender by V.R, you don't have to worry about anything I said about it. :mates:
The only thing that's still relevant, you should not let non legit software connect to the internet.

Ok, for now I'll stay away from that method.

Rereading your answers ... the highlighted phrase puzzles me. Does that mean I can transfer a not-legit license to a usb key dongle? (in the hypothesis that on the usb key there are only not-legit licenses and in the hypothesis of never connecting the pc to the internet). Or when you talk about transferring the license you refer to legit licenses that would be deleted from the vr? Excuse me if I try to understand and thanks for your time.

You don't have to stay away from xyz. It's about getting yourself a bit familiar with how things do work.

In eLicenser control center you can transfer licenses from soft eLicenser to USB dongle. shouldn't do that with non-legit one, like "future activated" trials

V.R eLicenser extender is used by soft eLicenser protected software only and has nothing to do with other CE releases from V.R.

Classic V.R extender is basically a script that does the following:
1 delete existing soft eLicenser (this includes all licenses installed on it)
    2 create a new one
3 activates a bunch of "future" trials and demos

I think I understand the basic philosophy. Now I will try to do things right. For now I have finished the questions. I will probably do them later when I encounter some problems. Thank you for your time.
