I agree with you, like I said this was a first for me since MSDOS 3. Well, I think it was DR-DOS.
I didn't go back to v1709 for the boot issue, I managed to install v1803 that I wanted for testing the stock Virtual Machine features (Hyper-V). Didn't like them and there was some random hang under heavy load so I stuck with the version I know the most.
I'll update when I see other interesting features or just for the security updates, say the v19XX version. I'm convinced it'll install and work just fine.

As much as I love to upgrade to windows 10, I had a nightmare configuring windows 10 to my liking, and after all my efforts, I still had alot of issues with Windows 10. The logical thing to do I suppose was to switch to a Hackintosh, which is working good, audio drivers are working very well natively for audio production. In my experience, I got better latency, and could run way more cpu demanding VSTs like reaktor and kontakt at the same time.

I hate Mac Os though and everything they stand for, I hate just everything about it, the finder, how certain things are managed. I'm just way more faster/comfortable in a Windows environment.

So can anyone please give me a solution to my "dilemma"? That is, can anyone point out a few resources on how to properly install Windows 10, without any bloatware, telemetry, etc.?

If you got the LTSB version you already have a pretty clean version of Windows 10 that doesn't include Cortana or even the Windows Store. You can use some of the additional tools listed here to disable more unnecessary services and make your Windows installation even more basic: https://www.ghacks.net/2015/08/14/comparison-of-windows-10-privacy-tools/
I used WPD and Disable Win Tracking using the "delete" method. Also make sure you enable "defer updates" in your Windows Update settings. I usually only update Windows once after I first install it and then just turn the updates off (be sure to do any updates BEFORE you use any of the tools mentioned previously). I also like to use ClassicShell to get the classic start menu back and in the taskbar settings I ALWAYS turn on "use small taskbar icons" and combine taskbar buttons "When taskbar is full" to make it look like it did pre-Windows 7.

Thanks, that helped alot. Is the LTSB version freely available? If so, would you mind linking me to a WIN 10 LTSB version? Thanks.

Does anyone know, why the windows 10 enterprise ltsb 2016 tweaked .iso threads of k1ller97 got deleted the last weeks, again and again?

His tweaked versions sounded really good, sinced he removed all the bloatware out of the os.....

just courious since I'm looking for a better OS than Win 10 Pro, I got problems with latency with my Cubase 8.5 Pro and my new Steinberg/Yamaha UR22 mk2 device..... same audio interface on my 4 years old girlfriends laptop, no problems at all. But Win 7. So I guess it's related to Win10 OR my new 2017 Acer VN7 793 Laptop with i7 7700HQ / GTX1060 / 32GB DDR4.

Couldn't believe it..... I want my old computer back, with firewire so I can use my good old beloved Roland / Edirol FA-66 again. This interface served great perfomances the last 8 years. But no modern laptop has firewire .. :(

To be honest his version wasn't that different from the stock version. You can use those privacy tools I posted above to get rid of most of the remaining crap yourself, auto block all calls to MS and even disable updates completely.

I love Classic Shell, too, and small taskbar icons, but I don't combine them :)
Windows 10 Start menu is pathetic.

After two weeks testing....I didn't find anyting, absolutely nothing, better than win7/64 for a DAW use. Don't know for other scopes.
Pathetic is also security management, with continuous alerts also with UAC disabled. finally, it seems only a marketing operation combined with a better tracking and telemetry management (better for MS, obviously.....)
