Electronic Dance Music producers tend to use Xfer Records Serum, Vengeance Sound Avenger, Reveal Sound Spire, Synapse Audio Dune, u-he Hive, and Lennar Digital Sylenth1.

    Cheers.

By the way, this thread is in the wrong section. It should be under 'Software'.

    Please, dont
dont become an average dubstep musician
please dont become the last one in the rank
dont use sounds like "pros use in the industry"
Try to develop your emotion in your very unique way, there is no need to imitate others

I don't actually use any of the synths mentioned, except for u-he Hive, which I only have because u-he made it, and I only really use it for ear candy effects, like risers and things like that, if at all. The rest aren't really my style.
I was only stating that, that's what most EDM producers use, if you want to sound like them (which I don't recommend).
As for Hive, I'll PM you a link all of the presets that have been released on the sister site, as sharing warez publicly is against the rules. As for the rest, you'll have to search for those on your own. You can start by going onto the sister site and searching the synth names to see what comes on.

Search for Cymatics packs if you want to make your average garbage dubstep. I love dubstep but everyone sounds the same because they all copy each other.. There are only a handful of artists who make different shit.

For dubstep - Massive, Serum or any other modern wavetable synth should do the job; but these 2 have the most packs for them.
EDM - there are many vsts that can get you there. Sylenth or Massive (or Spire) have the most packs for them, if you are lazy to program it on your own. I like this guy's presets (mainly for trance ) - https://www.aiynzahev-sounds.com/ He also gives the midis used in the demo .

YouTube is invaluable. Just put in "how do I make [pluck, bass, pad, whatever] in [XYZ] synth". Or dubstep, or Trance, or FLStudio, or Cubase, whatever.............

    For instance:
    https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=how+to+make+dubstep

    https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=dubstep+bass+in+massive

When you find a good video, go to the channel page and grab all the other stuff of relevance. [It's all relevant, I suppose :D]

I personally enjoyed this, esp as a fan of 'Cracks' (tho it isn't a great tutorial, as such):

Obviously, videos are of variable quality as it's YouTube. And tutorial makers tend to keep the best stuff for their paid-for courses. But there's a lot of great, inspirational stuff on YT. Judicious use of such a resource can speed one along almost any learning curve.

I just spent a few days downloading 700 videos to squirrel away for the Winter.

Personally I found NI Massive to have the most, good Dubstep sounds. Too many? :D

If you go to the sister site and search for "massive presets pack" there's a pack with 54,000 presets, which, IIRC, has a lot of dubstep sounds. Some crazy basses. You'll need "Massive" of course.......

Trolling in multiple threads won't get you things faster , maybe start an own thread before you get kicked ?
