Good question -- I assumed it had been k'd back when EZDrummer 2 for Mac got k'd. I'm still on EZDrummer 1 and SD2, never really thought about upgrading, especially considering that SD3 is supposed to be gigantic (250 GBs, I think?). At this point, if I were upgrading that stuff, I'd probably just switch over to BFD or find some decent Kontakt libraries.

Seems like R2R gave up on cracking the big stuff.

And even the newer versions for PC aren't cracked. Someone brought it up in another thread: It seems R2R just updates their own releases (not even all e.g. Kontakt Libs) and only from time to time realeases new ones mostly when VR has released it first.

BTW.: Mods may classify this thread as request :dunno:

It may just be a bit tedious to crack and too time consuming.

I think it's just too big -- I just checked, and the total library size is actually 230 GBs, according to Toontrack. I don't imagine there would be any way to host that, even if you cut it up into many, many downloads. And the PC k's are only for the actual app, not the app and the library, which I can't find anywhere, so I assume it's a bust. For comparison, SD2 was around 21 GBs or so, so it was pretty damn big, but reasonably capable of being uploaded and downloaded. This is why I'd probably just go with BFD or a decent couple of Kontakt libraries at this point. Even if there was a way to get it, that's almost a quarter of a TB for basically one drum kit and some extra sounds.

well with SD3 you don't have to have the 230 gigas.. the new software is great by its self.. with EZ2 expansions.. delays.. comps.. ecos.. reverbs.. limiters all inside SD3.. that is a big big thumbs up. and most of the people that love real Drums.. will not have a problem with 90 gb of drums.. or 140.. or 230.. if they want..

Mots people only need the basic library which is 50GB and can be easily got from torrent sites. The product itself is cracked, just not the mac version apparently.

It`s not the library that makes SD3 such a great product. The core library (+50gig) sounds really good don't get me wrong but the best part of It is the basic software. The editor, mixer and effects. You can use EZXs and SDXs in S3 and all MIDI packs and Producer Preset Packs.

Really? I feel the exact opposite way about both EZDrummer and Superior Drummer -- I'm much more interested in the sounds than the plugs/pre-recorded processing or the mixer. When I picked up EZD 1 and SD2, there weren't a lot of drum VI options around, and, at the time, they sounded pretty good to me. Still, I wind up Frankenstein-ing kits together from multiple EZXs and SD2 kit pieces. In EZDrummer 1, I'll always shut off the comp track and just record the drums and room mics individually, then mix them like a "real" drum kit with third party plugins in my DAW's mixer, or in the case of Superior Drummer 2, I turn off most of the internal plugs, record the drums and room mics and do the same. I do like some of the Producer Presets in Superior 2 (particularly, the Slate drums),so I guess I do occasionally use some of its onboard plugins, if it is essential to the particular piece's sound. But the selling point of EZMix 2 processors onboard, or using a VI's internal mixer and processing it as one instrument doesn't appeal to me, particularly given the size of SD3 (even at 41 GBs, the smallest content size listed for the SD3 minimal library, that's still 41 GBs on top of the 21 existing GBs for SD2, plus all my EZXs). I can see how it might appeal to you guys, especially if you just want to mixdown a detailed kit without the hassle of recording a lot of DAW tracks and setting up a lot of plugin processors. I don't really dig Toontrack's audio processors -- EZMix sounds terrible to me, and gives you extremely limited options. If I were interested in curating a large collection of drum sounds at this point, as I said above, I'd just trash all my Toontrack stuff and either grab some decent Kontakt libraries or get into BFD.

Yes.. SD3 it is great not only for that.. but for DIY electronic drummers.. has new things you can do easily in the midi world that you cannot do with SD2.. for example too.

I think SD2 was great for that, as well (and even EZDrummer), though I assume there's built-in Beat Detective and other new features in this version. I'm not downing your reasons for wanting the software, mind you, I'm just saying that none of those reasons have anything to do with my interest in any version of SD. If I were champing at the bit to get SD3, it would mainly have to do with the Massenburg-recorded kit, the (over) abundance of mic positions and the 11.1 surround option, but at 230 GBs, I could probably live without it. I haven't even really gotten into SDXs because of the extraneous file sizes, and because I'd still probably have to Frankenstein kits together (which is actually harder in SD than in, say BFD, because many of those kits were recorded at different locations and have completely different room sounds).

i can understand what your all saying but like another member said you dont need all the libraries for this , but on the pc version just the main app is cracked , the libraries work of that so i cant see that the mac version will be any different , i cant see a DAW storing a AU vst as 230gb in the components folder hehe , i think it will just be the AU or VSTi which will be cracked.

I have got a install version of superior drummer 3 but when it installs and i open say reaper it brings up the authorization page which is built like the one on Sup Drummer 2 hmmmm surely a hacker could do this ???

i can program but not at that level i wish i could as i would be the first to push it out there :)

i dont know what happened , but i know MacUsers have hard-times since openssh...
just a coupe of teams on Macs ... no more alliance , slate , kush , sountoys and no SD3
god bless openssh & its work ...i think it will not happend in a near future...less & less "big-deals"
thanks to hexwars comeback &R2R....but i'm no more waiting for a miracle as utopia for winusers
R2R is already a miracle lol..
we have to think different to win , and make compromise if you really want it...
but it really worth it :winker:

I'm a bit confused about this Wine method. If it's a standalone program I want to run, I can imagine how it works. But what about VSTs like SWAM Engine (of the newly named Audio Modelling instruments) or effect VST plugins for Windows?
And what about Vienna Ensemble Pro? My main question is if a DAW for mac can find and recognize a VST installed in Wine?
