    I think you misunderstand what it is,
    basically when you have ANY audio interface, you can control its main volume with hardware knob, or volume slider in operating system,
    as the RME interfaces are basically multichannel mixers which need more advanced control, TotalMix is a software to control the interface internal DSP (so any routing, levels, preamps, dynamics etc..),
    apart from the very basic control of my monitoring (main volume, heapdhones volume, mute, solo etc..) I also it for headphone monitoring submixes in studio, dynamics and eq corrections when monitoring or recording, practically everything :D

    I have a photo of a black hole as my wallpaper. I've always liked black holes. :wink:

    Windows 7 VM above the trash bin is waiting for some better times to disappear into it. :)

    I end up making a lot of wallpapers, album covers and graphic design pieces with Photoshop, usually in my downtime from making music or during my time away from a mix. This is a simple one that I made last week.
