    Hi guys.

Tell me what you think of this.

    http://soundcloud.com/kwaszak/skrillex-damian-marley-mak-it

[Twang - a unique guitar sound that has shaped Surf-Rock, Rockabilly and the so-called Spaghetti-Western genre during the sixties. Twang is up-to-date, more than ever - just listen to Tarantino‘s movies.........Twang plus Dubstep vibe is more then that, it is something new]

    Thx

I like the genre and I'd have it on a playlist of mine.
But - it gets quite monotonous in certain parts that go on too long, especially the vocals yabbering on...

You used Ueberschall Twang Elastik library right ? :grooves:

    http://soundcloud.com/ueberschall/ueberschall-twang

You could modify a little bit more the kit (listen to 0:34) to turn it into "dubstep", add more synth work in the basses etc that would be really cool.
It sound like you just throwed the vocals on the original kit without really working your a** off but a lot of well known producers do
that so why not... Interesting idea btw

I cant hear any dubstep elements.....? The drums go kinda dub/half-step during the middle but thats it.

Anyway very enjoyable tune. I love that style of guitar, get the Pulp fiction soundtrack if you dont have it already :dancing:

Nice variety of riffs, great driving feel to the track. The vocals work well too.

    Great stuff.

Spot on man. I love this sample bank. The idea behind this was to see if it is possible. I have big rock and roll background so it is natural for me to fusion guitars with something modern. In this case it is rythmical element of Dubstep. I worked with some additional wooble bass lines and it was cool but I had that feeling that it is fine without anyway.
Regards working my a (as you said) I would never do it when work on something really mine. It is an remix so I guess I get awey with this.

Thx for opinion man. Appreciate it.

Below you can listen track of my band (this is my roots). I composed it, produced and mixed. Would be great to have your opinion man. Thx

The Damian Marley vocal is annoying.

If you want a more dubstep approach, record the guitar like you did right now, chop it into pieces. Instead of a 1 bar guitar loop. It could be more interesting.

Or use the flanger/ phaser effect on some pieces. I heard the whole tune and that guitar loop is always the same. Make it more interesting...

Nice try! Would love to hear more

Heard that track of your band! Amigo!

Like the vocal effect on 1:08.

The vocal before this parts, seems to be louder than the rest? Part 2:02 is a great mix of instruments and vocals.

The first vocal part seems like off note. In the chorus too around 3:00 mark and further. Melodyne is a great tool to correct vocalparts.

Why no guitarsolo or synth solo which follow the chorus of Amigo. That part that starts at 2:02 and further. It is a great vocal melodyline.

The background vocals at 4:03. Nice. Stop the main vocal part, no vocals and use that as a build up.

    Great song, nice production.

Really appreciate you took time to this. There is no solo cuz vocal is very dense. Lot of lyriks to sing :). I used Melodyne but vocalist was not happy with even slight change so I leave this. If he is happy I am happy too. :) Record released in November 2012 so no change can be done. For sure I will ask you next time. Thx man.
