Howdy, all! As the title says, I'm looking for constructive feedback on this cover I've been working on. I've never done a cover of a track before, so I'm a bit hit and miss on what I think about the production. Some parts are way off to me. I was hoping you fine people might check it out, and give me pointers as to where I could make improvements. I've not finished all the parts in the track just yet, so some parts will sound bare. But yeah, hoping someone can point me in the direction as to how I can improve upon what I already have.

    Many thanks in advance!

I should probably state that this is a cover of Run with the Wolves by The Prodigy. Damn daunting task for me.

@KungPaoFist for real, thank you so very much for that! Prodigy were the band that got me into music ever since hearing Experience back in possibly 1993. But yo, as I said, thank you so very much!

@recycle I asked for constructive feedback, not for someone to be a cunt. You are exactly what is dragging this site down. Be proud. Cheers for the listen.

Someone said that “constructive feedback is when I criticize you, while destructive feedback is when you criticize me”

Critics do not need definitions. It can not be classified "constructive" or "destructive", but must be expressed with great crudeness, without hesitation. Dont be afraid of any negative feedback: there is only one way to escape criticism: say nothing, do nothing, be nobody

Great work and probably a lot of work! I don't know the original but your work doesn't make me feel the need to listen to it, 'cause I like yours.

I assume your main focus is on guitars? Because the drums could be more upfront and benefit from more punch. Maybe try reducing the reverb on bd and sn or raise the predelay until you hear a gap and then shorten it until the gap vanishes. Also the bass could be more audible.

@No Avenger Thank you very much for the comment, and the feedback, man! Really appreciate that!

i totally hear what you're saying about the bass guitar. I've been giving it a listen with fresh ears, and completely agree. Needs to be up in the mix a bit more, and more low end added. Thanks again for that! And I'll try out your suggestion for the drums, too!

I don't know if its your avatar or the music but it reminded me of Marlyn Manson before the drums. drums could be more darker if you know what I mean. It feels like a stem is missing until 2:30, if you like it this way maybe some distortion like Jack White so it fills the track?

@Bite Coin Me yeah, I get what you mean. I think the tone is a bit too bright, if that's what you're referring too? As for stems missing, I've not yet fleshed out the whole track with synths. It's not until the part you mentioned that I've been really focusing upon. There's quite a few parts missing until then. Thank you for the advice, mate! Appreciated!:wink: And yeah, might have something to do with my avatar! Haha!

@saltwater Thank you so much for the comment, dude! Really appreciate! And yep, totally agree with the cat!:)

I've now taken the track down, as I do believe I've been given more than enough help than I could have asked for. Thank you very much to everyone that replied, especially @No Avenger greatly appreciated!
