Sorry to hijack but I find this really curious, because being German, I'm really interested in how you mean that. Since you use the term "Oberschlesien", which is German, do you feel more associated with Germany than Poland? I'm really just interested in how you feel because having had family in Pomerania, I hurt when I think of what treasure is lost because those cultures don't exist anymore. Not the territory, no, the people speaking those ideoms, the food... All dead now And reading this from you makes me wonder whether there are people there that still live that culture and it is not as dead as I feared...

 

Silesian culture is still alive here, it is partly German, Czech and Polish, I still speak Silesian dialect
