Hi SPTA (how is that supposed to be pronounced?),

welcome to THE FORUM , interesting track, I never heard something like this before.

If I may draw your attention to a small flaw, the track is mono.

 

Its pronounce SPATA without A...something like this
Yep, I know,I follow Dr Dre's advice to mix everything in mono but I overdid it a little...

Interesting tune....I'm just wondering about d snare / beat....did u lower its level on purpose?
btw, I bet it sounds fuller & clearer in stereo
I personally always give d most ''meat'' to my beat --> higher level volume wise.
I'm interested in hearing d ''final'' mix (we all know it's never final final, but hey, it is what it is )...let us know when u finish

Welcome, SPTA.

First things first, awesome tune! Since you're asking for feedback here it goes:

I know you're going for the meaty jungle vibes and there's nothing wrong with that (trust me, I'm a big fan of those lol) but I think this track in particular would benefit if you kept the sort of broken, abstract, almost 'steppy', minimal dnb vibe with hints of jungle breaks (just like that little edit you have towards the end of the intro). The meaty part of the track seems out of context and lacking a proper flow between breaks, you know what I mean?

Other than that, I really like it! Especially the intro (0:00 to 1:31), it's proper stuff and got me excited for the rest of the track.

That's all regarding creative aspects. As for the technical aspects, not really worth mentioning, since you're still working on the mixdown. Just one thing that's already been pointed out, mix in mono and make sure it's stereo before you export the 'trackXYZ_final_final_v14final.wav' .

P.S. Not saying this is THE WAY, it's just what I would do. Some people mistake honest feedback with personal attack because they get overly attached to their tracks. I don't know you or how you'll react so I'm kinda risking it here but I'm sure you'll let me know what you think .

This track is brilliant... Very intricate... Great drum programming... Really enjoyed it.. great work!

I Re-upload my track with some small changes and i think i'm done with it.

I did this track in just 3 days. I think this is a good start.

Love it, the sound design is reeeaaaally good! I m on the way to give this kind of sound to my dnb tracks (not the same but quite similar,lol)yeahhh! big ups !

could you tell us a bit more about how the track was done ? samples ? synths or VSTs, DAW, etc .. ? ( it's optional, but I always ask when a track sounds interesting. there's no magic sauce, but I think one of the main interest of forums is to exchange and compare ways of working and material we use )

Hello friends ! What kind of sounds (in the track) you interesting in ? I use Ableton 10 and some fabfilter plugins,massive,serum,kontakt and izotope stuff etc...nothing special and of course classic amen stuff, just improvise with arrangement.

It's just a matter of taste

And i have a question. Where do i get an original break loop from Dkay - the Martians ?
I've heard that break a lot in oldschool DnB.
