Because many of them are indeed, trojans, stealers and viruses.
And yes, I know about false positives but it takes 2 minutes to mix/crypt a chrome pass stealer and a non infected keygen and get hundreds/thousands of full pass databases.
I recommend using keygens only in VMware and virtual environments to activate warez.

its the structure of the keygens that trigger antivirus.
if there really were trojans and viruses in the packages in a scale worth mentioning we would be literally drowning in denounces and complaints.

now, if you pick your stuff from a random unknown source were there is no feedback on the resulting downloads well.. surprise

They're basically the same in that they provide containers which emulate a different OS. Virii that break through different OSes are usually rare.

  12. Somebody asked 'when did you ever get a virus from an R2R release'? When did you ever die from a heart attack?

I've never caught a virus from R2R package, but there's a version of Samplitude over at the sister site carrying a netbot virus. And the problem is that you, SAiNT, have to get it right every time and the bad guys have to get it right just once. Yes it's been discussed many times. Oh it never, ever happens, are famous last words and when the ransomeware takes out half the DAWS on the internet, you'll find this comminity rapidly and permanently shrinking.

You can't go around ignoring this. You are inviting the butt spanking from hell if you do, and one day, you'll be so angry.

    Lucky you
    I don't know
maybe you are one of them (group , stuff).
    I don't know you.
I think all the daws and vst installations are bait , so the crackers can get what they want.

    group, i missed one letter.

  21. In 22 years of trying before buying I can count the number of meaningful viruses on one hand. The worst damage that ever came from a crack was donkey's years ago with an uninstaller that uninstalled your entire VST folder. So the risk is and always has been very small. The problem I have is that when you have community of people who go about telling themselves to ignore thir antivirus protection, it is only a matter of time before something very big, very bad and very expensive happens.
