i think we should know why those days many developers gives them old soft with new software version number

 

Probably the only change will be a new registration way

 

New upgrade policy : old price x 10.

 

Several fixes and one improvement? This should be Waves 11, if not 12.
Waves 25 is better, like FL 20.

there will be some new " Joey Sturgiano" (u never heard of but he is the new big mix engineer) plugin with huge analog knobs and even Dave Pensado (who??) uses it

At least update some gui's for those old ugly plugin's

 

This seems more like a licensing agreement update more than anything else.

 

Days ago I imagined Waves 10 would be updated this way:
Support up to 384k, DSP engine is 64 bit float or even 80 bit, resizable GUIs, oversampling for most plugins and several groundbreaking plugins with all these mentioned fixes and even more. But what they did is just waves 9, june 11 2018 hotfix update...

 

...but even April 1st is way better for audio production world)

 

They've should have recode every single one of their plugins which would be pain in the A for their programmers.If you consider that they have 5-10 different (gui) plugins for each category (eq, comp, etc) and all those "magic" all in one plugins from all those world class mixing engineers.If i was them, i would keep half if not a quarter of all these quantity and develop those 4-5 gems that would bring back the attention.But here we have another huge marketing issue.They've introduced a new system a few years ago (talking about soundgrid plugins for live consoles etc) and they prefer attracting their customers saying "with this system you can also get a bundle of 50-60 plugins to accompany it" instead of "10 best in the market plugins"

Anyway personally i only use the ssl comp (maybe one or two more plugins rarely). I wouldn't mind having just 10 plugins with 384k, DSP engine is 64 bit float and DAMN a proper gui. But hey i'm just a dreamer.

Never mind, i'll go back to the studio now and use my other plugins
