Quite good actually. Just a shame you can't develop it into a full track with a bit more variation.

    Thank you so much!

A bit is so little. The real music maker or player must be able to guide the track to any path he wants and my effort is for reaching that point.:bleh:

    PS:
I think the melody does not fit this piece. Nonsensical works demand nonsensical melodies or nothing at all?:dunno:

    I like it!

My humble remarks - you have more than enough material in this one to play with.

There is an intro, consider an outro (you can of course cut the piece as an element of surprise, but I'd save that for another one)
No need to add things (parts).. what about subtracting them? Like taking drums out for a bar, before something new happens. Sometimes less is more.. ;)
I like the melody.. just one here: cut the last note out (0:58), leave the one before longer and see how it sounds to you.

You know what? I've lost the half of the project. The first half, the into with all of those drums and texture. I had made it a long time ago.

The only customizable part is the melody that I think doesn't fit but you love it. What should I do? Maybe asking @black.afrika.zulu.x to resample for the extensions. He's the master for such situations but I think he's gone.

    That's better foster.
Almost good enough for a parody of a scifi b-movie from 1986.

Nothing special? To be honest I like it. So it's special for me. You took my attention. Nice melodies. Nice bassline going on. Yeah, sounds great! I actually would like to try if I could do something with it sometime. I love the intro. It gives a nice happy build up waiting for the next part. On how the intro sounds like and on how my styles are in general I think the intro gives a very nice start for me to actually do something with it. If you want or if you're interested I always can pm you to show you some of mine stuff :)

It fits. I can understand, why you think it doesn't. Let me explain: you have a solid base and the melody certainly starts the same way. Then, your mind let it wander "freely". You went out of the "boxes" your base implies, and that is what we perceive as interesting. We want you to bring us back.. but you keep teasing us. At the end you should bring us "home", but until then, don't let the melody be captive of the base.
That's why I suggested to delete that^^ 0:58 note - it falls right in to the main box.. and it gives the impression that you are trying to be "correct". In the middle of a music piece.. something like that is just boring, at the end, it's ok..

Appreciated! I uploaded it to clyp for the better quality for anyone likes to sample it. I'll be happy to hear your manipulation on it.:bleh:
As you know, I've always gone to great lengths to practice with the notes than making a complete song. Jazz dudes do the same. For them making music is different than others. They usually find or think about any context and play over it. It's so pleasing for them because they can put their acquired techniques in practice recurringly until get internalized. I've done the same but not much in the playing side, in finding solutions for connecting everything. I'll plug away to make a complete song with all of my learned techniques in the near future and again thanks for the highly perceptive listening. I'll consider that most willingly.:mates:

Dear @foster911, I really hope you understand I was just trying to make you feel confident in what you were already doing . Let me be clear about some things.. I don't know much about Jazz, LOL. Ok, I can take your piece and make it "jazzy" - just because I was learning, listening to, playing, aso.. every kind of music for 25+y.
I have a moderate knowledge of the "theory". Just enough to understand (to a point) the "great minds", that I have the privilege to have around. We discuss things late at night.. no class, no 'board, no right or wrong. You might be surprised what is really in the heads of these high profile guys.. some thoughts:
-If it sounds good, don't bother with any "theory" (whatever that is..). You are golden!
-You can learn 90% of the matter and be good at it (there are many great composers like this), but if you don't have that 10% of magic.. well that just can't be taught. ;P
-They admit, they can never compete with a "street" musician from 200y (or 10min) ago. It's not that the music from the past was so good. BS.. It's that only the best remained till nowadays (and the tons of garbage went to where it belongs..)
    -...
I am writing this somehow longer message to you because things are a bit shaky here, as you certainly know. Thought I'll be immune to all that. But there were smaller ones piling up and can't help but feeling a bit uncomfortable.. no biggie, I'll be around..;) maybe not so much for a while. I saw ppl trying to convince you to make your art "follow the rules", a framework, whatever.. there is too much information, theories, etc around. If you start to study hardcore networking just because your wifi went down for a while, you will never switch ON the comp again..;)) Take just the piece you need, when stuck..

Produce, post, create, enjoy..! All music, love, peace, respect...  :mates::hug: :bow:

Cool. Now, @ 0:59 you need to add some soft vocals. You do it and re-post. That will put into perspective how to organize your intro too, and lead you with a foundation to continue the song's form any way you wish.

Sounds good. Can't say more because both the instruments and style are unknown to me.

This is the @foster911 I like. Cheers ;)
