Ooooh pretty. I love how these guys took the Voice of God plugin that UAD was selling for 149USD and made it as a freebie. Essentially the original was just an eq dip and boost in the lows, an old eq trick. Even more hilarious are the reviews on the UAD site about how the VOG plugin is warm and magical sounding. MIDIots. lol

impulsantworten entstehen, wenn ein sehr kurzer, breitbandiger impuls in einem raum abbegeben wird und aufgenommen wird, anschliessend wird der impuls abgeschnitten & man hört nur noch die reflektionen.

es gibt einige programme / plugins, die mit diesen files nun hall erzeugen können.

in sampliude wird die funktion folgendermassen beschrieben:

"Diese völlig neuartige Funktion erlaubt es, das Hallverhalten beliebiger Räume zu simulieren. Hierbei wird die Impulsantwort (bzw. Hallfahne) eines Raumes mit dem Sample verrechnet.

Eine Raum-Impulsantwort ist der Nachhall eines knallartigen, impulshaften Geräusches - beispielsweise eines Schusses aus einer Schreckschußpistole. Sie enthält alle notwendigen Informationen, um den Raumhall exakt simulieren zu können.

Die Impulsantwort kann mit den Dialogparametern manipuliert werden, so daß die Halleigenschaften ähnlich wie bei konventionellen digitalen Halleffektgeräten komfortabel editiert werden können.

die responses sind in ziparchiven, um den download zu erleichtern. dabei steigt mit der filenummer die grösse der responses, z.b. enthält m3000_1 43 kleine, m3000_18 hingegen 2 sehr grosse files.

wenn ich hier die hersteller der geräte erwähne, kann ich rechtliche probleme bekommen, da ich die gewerblichen rechte der Hersteller verletzte... was auch immer das ist. daher werden die responses "umschrieben". aus einem ford wird ein fiat, mal wird ein name eingedeutscht usw... viel spass beim raten!

impulse responses arise when a very short, broadband impulse is lost in a room and recorded, then the impulse is cut off & you only hear the reflections.
There are some programs / plugins that can now create reverb with these files.

in sampliude, the function is described as follows:
"This completely new function makes it possible to simulate the reverberation behavior of any room, whereby the impulse response (or reverb tail) of a room is mapped to the sample.
A space impulse response is the reverberation of a bang-like, impulsive sound - for example, a shot from a shotgun pistol. It contains all the information necessary to accurately simulate the room reverb.
The impulse response can be manipulated with the dialogue parameters so that the reverb characteristics can be conveniently edited similar to conventional digital reverb devices.

In addition, however, you have the opportunity to fundamentally determine the Hall effect by selecting the impulse response.
A graphic with a representation of the impulse response and the envelope for fading in and out allows an optical overview of the manipulation of the impulse response by the parameters of the room simulator dialog. "

the responses are in ziparchives to facilitate the download. the size of the responses, eg. contains m3000_1 43 small, m3000_18 but 2 very large files.

If I mention here the manufacturers of the devices, I can get legal problems, because I hurt the commercial rights of the manufacturers ... whatever that is. therefore the responses are "circumscribed". a ford becomes a fiat, sometimes a name is Germanized etc ... have fun guessing!

Minimal Instruments has announced the release of Kick-n-Snare, a simple kick and snare sound rompler plugin that has "super sound, good for EDM, especially for Dubstep and FutureBass".

Minimal Instruments say "We made this plugin because we think it would be nice if a producer can quickly create kick or snare (or both) track. Often, kick should be by itself in a track due to side chain purpose. Also, you can audition kick or snare sound without changing kit or presets."
