And don't you want a blow job for the price too?!:deep_facepalm:
Today you don't have a gift box when you buy a software, you just buy the license.Unless it is a very big samplepack or Komplete for ex.

I think Studio One is ok, and its getting better all the time.

I like that they added track notes.

But don't like the blocky waveform zoom. It's just as bad as in Logic.

Logic's waveforms are definitely much worse than this. It's still a mystery to me that in 2018 wavorms could look that bad in a DAW :D

Yes I agree, logic is worse actually, but S1 is not far behind. I think the probability of Logic fixing this is less then S1 fixing it. Seems the studio one team listens to feature request.

The thing is it's an actual look of waveforms. It's a digital("steppy") world, not an analog. In S1 you have ability to see all steps. It's better than smooth shit, which is lying to you.

From your post you seem reasonably bright.......how can you not know the difference between loose and lose?

You mean a digital waveform is a stair step @LALALA ? No its not ...
Its a lolipop graph - every sample point - 1 value.

sorry i forgot the explanation. Edited my post and added here a bit further explanation.
"Its a lolipop graph - every sample point - 1 value."

Stairstep is a continous time function - it has a value at every point in time.

Well, you're right. I just meant something similar - steps as different analogy. You took my analogy at too deep level ;) In most cases there are "fake lines" between all those "lolipops", that's how the analogy born. Another good analogy - two identical pictures, one is whole, the other perforated.

LOL, depends on the day according to my wife.

I know the difference, that was a spelling error on my part. I'm from the U.S. but grew up in Germany learning phonetic German and illogical English as a kid so spelling was always a complicated issue for me. Today I speak phonetic Spanish daily and unfortunately still spell some English words incorrectly when spellcheck does not catch my fast typing. Feel free to ignore my posts if it bothers you too much.

I hate to correct you again. But ... last time will stop now.

But theese are not fake lines. Theese lines are actually x and y axis values. while x coresponds to the sample point. Sorry too much technical talking.:mates:

Yes, yiureyoright again and you got me wrong again. I meant those "connecting lines". Those points aren't connected. We don't have to dig so deep. The point is points ;)

I don't think the smooth line is lying to me, it's a graphical representation of how the signal is going to look after DA.
I like Reapers solution to waveform display. You get both a smooth "anti aliased waveform" and sample dots at the same time.

Also I haven't found found a way to snap to samples in S1, is this not possible? @LALALA

This setting does not snap to sample. I've tried this but no snap to sample, the cursor can still fall inbetween two sample points. And you can still move the clip without snapping to sample value at ruler.

Donno what are you talking about. I just checked - everthing works fine. Are you new in S1? Maybe you forgot to switch on snap function(N button).
