Yes of course we need some minimum gear to make music.But what I meant is that I think it's not good to be always dreaming about top of the notch latest gadgets at astronomic prices.It's my opinion,isn't it legitimate?
my computer is from 2010,my speakers from 2011,my soundcard 2012(because the previous was breakdown) and my cotroller is from this year,because my ancient controller was from 2002! Of course better speakers and a Macpro and a large screen and a Virus TI and a lot of things would be better for me,But I never drool with envy.
I'm the opposite of the compulsive owner!

I don't think that this amp has been emulated yet. You're probably thinking of another MESA amp.

What I really want is a place of my own that I can actually modify and treat acoustically, in a quiet area, with no roommates. A fantasy for the next 15 years at least.

 

Cmon guys, if you've got the guts and a really bright idea, you can fucking make it on your 2004 laptops touchpad with no need of all that futuristic fucking shit. Just focus on the audio output signal you want to achieve and all of a sudden you won't need that 20000000$ mixer :D

I would also really appreciate to have a bigger, and treated place to work in... hopefully miles away from other people, and near the sea or a lake. I'd like to be able to generate my own electricity, grow my own veg and grapes for wine, and whatever else I want. That's my utopian dream. I've got pretty much everything else, not strictly materialistically speaking. I've got love, and that's the most important thing of all, and hardest to find, especially if you're an arsehole like me.

I was in a very nice listening room checking out an ultra ultra clean Crane Song mic pre by running a variety of Telefunken tube mics as well as the momentary object of my desire, a BeezNeez Mahalia which was freakily discounted at something like 1200 bucks as I think it was a prototype. I was punching buttons, singing and switching microphones one by one and enjoying myself in heaven when I mistakenly hit the wrong button and routed the signal through the UA 6176 instead of the Crane. It stopped me in my tracks and I had an a-ha moment. It sounded so freaking good and thought to myself that it sounded just like a record. The End.

Beautiful carving, I'm jealous of both the wood work as well as the Tele. And yes, it's always a struggle recording with ambient stray noise disrupting a good take as well as the times when inspiration strikes.
