Sounds lame., but if you want to produce 80's pop, it may be a good catch. :break:

OMG this is one off the most exiting thing in the VstPlugin world :dancing:;)))
Another 2 osc VA with a basic step sequencer from ...Waves.
Audio demos are so outdated, unisinspiring and anxiogenes, the video demo shows a neurasthenic producer , making the most boring beat ever in a "one finger" fashion way, and there is...there is...Jordan Rudess
    Why, but...why?

    200 bucks for this *no*

even 99 is bit too much, guess 49.99 and gratis one knob something would make some buzz

The most disgusting thing is that WAVES excludes users of older MAC OS
starting from V9r7 - very, very bad from Waves. :snuffy:

I agree - the DEMO clip on their site is so boring...YAWN!
    Good night Waves.

How incredibly boring. I want a model of the J37 in Abbey Road to go with the REDD, now that would make sense.

(Which btw is these days owned by the Studer Museum in Regensdorf, Switzerland. Softube are go! )

[EDIT:] Forget about Regensdorf. It's not in Regensdorf. It's probably down a landfill somewhere, and the Waves synth is about as exiting as my drivel.

The GUI reminds me of Steinberg synths back in the early 2000's. :snuffy:

Meh, Still underwhelmed. It has a vague 80s vibe, which I like, but not $99 like (and certainly not $200  ).

Needs a very large dose of coffee first.

(And it does remind of the early Steinberg synths, light59 is right)

Meanwhile......I'm beginning to really like this thing! It's instant 80s inspired synth pop.

BTW some people in a thread at a snobby place suggested that you can see the forthcoming Logic X in the Yoad Nevo video tutorial over at Waves.

I hate the fake perspective of the GUI, but on the other hand controls are really logically placed. Regarding sound... well it's just another VA with 2 oscs. I can count at least a dozen better ones that I use already. But for those lazy, ignorant types this must be a blessing - lots of presets! :)

Anyway, nothing to buzz about IMHO. Lame. Boring. Yawn. The Waves propaganda works beautifully though. I can bet some people will sing a lot of praise for this synth driven by this propaganda.

When in reality, you can do anything, everything, with a few freeware synths and FX. Really.

I think it sounds a bit like an amped version of the bigger Casio MTs. I like it now. The marketing is all wrong though.
They should market it more in a fluoro-80s vain.

    know what I mean?

The waves is different in architecture/fidelity and whatnot,
but it has a similar timbre. I like that timbre.

It also has the quintessential shards of glass crap-o-verb needed for a proper 80s clap.
