    Try Scuffham S-Gear 2.
If you have a powerful computer Nebula libraries are great for amp/cabs without big distortion.

  6. A little saturation can go a long way.

    Klanghelm SDRR 2 saturation chameleon
Klanghelm - IVGI - saturation & distortion and it is FREE!

Nebula sounds better than IRs, it uses a kind of libraries far more complex. And yeah, it is very complex to use. And a CPU eater due to the fancy tech used.

Some developers release in several formats, for instance IR, Fractal Axe and Nebula for cabinets. But Nebula can do a lot more than cabs, as long it isn't highly distorted. Say metal high gain amps.

There are others plugins of the same company ready to use (Acqua I think being some of them) but you lose the versatility.

yeah my system came to a crawl when I tried it one time.... so do you need to leech processor power off the
video card somehow? That came up the last time I messed with Nebula, but maybe it was only for nvidia cards.
I never got it to work ultimately... but I would still try, if you can point the way a little more.

one article I read said go ahead and get a sansamp or some hardware box
such as that to put in the chain to warm things up a bit...

It uses so much CPU that allows you to optionally use your GPU to help with the computations, like super data-crunchers programs (deep learning, scientific,...).

I don't advise to use it unless you're a geek (like me ) and have a fast CPU/GPU combination (not me :suicide:).

Sounds like you are asking for Prime Studio Charly.

It's Acustica based, sampled from a real modified tube amp. It requires activation but does not cost anything to activate.
