Every once in a while I start getting nostalgic and will find myself longing to make old rave music back before everything started to be categorized. I already have plenty of breaks mostly from old sites like bb paradise also I really like Best Service's dance mega jungle rave series. Just wanted to see if there any packs that you consider your go to or bread and butter for things like that.

Trust me, I already know there's a bazillion ways to cut up and re slice and use different compression and distortion techniques on the amen, the apache, funky drummer etc. I used to spend countless hours just mangling breakbeats:guru:

The first X-static Goldmine (audio sampling cd, released in the 90s) is THE classic one. lots of break beats. synth etc. It's said that Mark Oh builds his no.1 hit ' Tears don't lie' (1995) entirely with samples of x-static goldmine. I don't believe it, but the first x-static goldemine sure is a classic.

I remember having some audio sampling cb by Ubiquity in my archive. Lots of classic break beats.

Nice! Thanks for the recommendation, I hate to admit to this but Mark Oh! was definitely a favorite growing up and the breakbeats that he used in his breakdowns always sounded fantastic :mates:

Cool thread, currently downloading a few packs thanks to it. Any others cropped up in the intervening months? Other than a few Think breaks in random ghetto house packs there seems to be a lack of old skool processed breakbeats at house tempo. Strange

Zero-G had quite a few solid libraries... I still use the old Planet of the Breaks and Jungle Warfare cds from time to time. AMG also had 160db and 260db, Newtronic had The Classic Breaks series, and Big Fish Audio Bipolar and Elemental Drum & Bass series. All excellent old school libraries.
