Does anybody know any vocal harmonizer plugin free or paid (except/excluding waves doubler, antares avox, and soundtoys microshift)

And also any tips on making vocal harmonies from one vocal take via adjusting the pitch of a vocal (by cents, semitones etc.)

EDIT: THANK YOU FOR ALL THE RESPONSE. I APPRECIATE IT ALOT! I ALSO LEARNED ALOT.:)

Don’t know about best, but the only one I could afford is zplane vieklang. Haven’t used the eventide plugs (I have some hardware) but eventide is generally the best at everything!

I'm not quite sure what are you trying to achieve(?) This Harmonizer term is a bit blurry - it can be a pitch shifting effect, or a tool for creating harmonies for e.g. backing vocals from the main vocal. It can be real time or post..
Eventide Octavox is really good for creating harmonies (a 3rd, 5th up..) real time (but can be also used as an fx) and I think it has MIDI input, so you can drive the notes with a keyboard. As you see there are others.. I bet anything from Zplane is OK as AFAIK they produce the pitch engine for Ableton, Native Instr., Steinberg..
I usually harmonize (as a composition) in post and would probably go with Melodyne, just copy notes up/down and move them to the "right" position. ;)

Depends on what you’re looking for. Synthesized or natural sounding... Lord help you if you’re going for that Jacob Collier sound though. Makes me wanna puke every time I hear him.

Yes... The pitched delays (in Eventide Octavox) are a great feature... You can achieve some pretty unique delay lines pretty quick...

I use the harmonising function for quick demo results... Usually, for the final product i'll plan the harmonies and get the singer to sing them... Old Skool...

I've tried many different harmony plugins. Izotope Nectar gave me satisfying results for some material. The best sounding solution to me was to use Melodyne and drag the pitch exactly where I wanted it. It's tedious, but you have the best control over what's happening. I use this to "teach" the harmony line to someone that can then record it sung properly.
I've also invested in a TC Helicon VoiceLive Acoustic pedal, and have been experimenting with the harmonies that it provides. In terms of realism, that pedal sounds better than most of the harmonizer plugins I have demoed.

Personally if I want to create a vocal harmony line out of thin air I use Image-Line's Newtone, since I use FL Studio as my main DAW.

There's no single "right" way to create a harmony line, but there are a lot of subjectively wrong ways.

Basic "stack of thirds" is a good starting point and this is more often than not what you hear when you turn on your radio. You can however create very specific "effects" using different basic harmony structures. Also keep in mind that if your harmony is very "rigid" it can easily sound kinda artificial and boring no matter how it is produced. Often times great harmonies are not just the same melody line stacked on top of itself at a set interval.

I like Newtone because it allows you quickly test out different ideas. Remember to also "nudge" and stretch the harmony parts around a little. Also it has an "auto-tune" feature. Personally I like to tune the "harmony" lines very tightly (like much more tightly than I would ever tune the main line if it needs tuning) and with Newtone it is super easy. Auto tuning just the harmonies and leaving the main line largely untouched often gives your vocals a very tight and polished sound without sounding overtly auto tuned and artificial.

@digitaldragon can you record just the harmony parts of the vocal from your voicelive into your DAW?

@Kinghtsurfer, I know that with the VoiceLive Play, you can send the main vocal line out of one input, and the harmonies out of the other. I have both the VoiceLive Play and the VoiceLive Play Acoustic. I'm not so sure if that is configurable on the Acoustic as the vocal parts (harmony and lead) come out of one output, and the guitar comes out of the other output. I do know, however, that you can turn the lead level all the way down to just have the harmonies (though I haven't tried it yet).
I'm running a 24 track Mackie board which I sum through. I've hooked up either pedal into a DAW session by taking the master bus output (1/4") and plugging that into the Aux Input on the VoiceLive. That way the harmonies will autokey to what the DAW is playing. then I take the outputs from the VoiceLive into a channel on the mixer, and get it back into the DAW by using an insert cable plugged into that channel and one of the input channels on my interface. The pedal gets it's input by routing the vocals out of one of the sound interface channels. I have a MOTU HD192 (12 in and 12 out) so the routing with that is easy to do.
I've only done this to help me determine how to program the presets for different songs I've got tracked. I haven't actually recorded the generated harmonies (yet) as the harmonies I've already got were either done with Melodyne, or actually sung.
It's been fun to play with that pedal. I'm excited to get out and perform with it.
