I've been working on this for the past week and wanted to see what everyone thinks. I use this plugin a lot and I got tired of seeing the same old out dated skin. I haven't done anything like this since my windows 7 theme making days back in 2010. Anyways, what do you guys think? Should I finish it and release it? VOCAL RIDER SKIN.jpg

I also have a modern skin in the works.

Thanks for the feed back. I've already did the Waves DeEsser in a modern skin but not happy to release it yet. Screenshot (9).png

I love your take on Modern Skin. Very functional and clearly visible, high contrast and minimalist. That's my style, too! LOVE IT! :headbang:

Maybe make brightest colours just a bit less saturated. Something like from 255 to 200-220. I know these values from experience as I found them just "too much" [my monitor is calibrated btw]. And never go below 200 brightness for fonts, for readability. I made my own skin for Reaper because I couldn't find any that suits my minimalist and dark style. I've also made my own Windows XP and W7 skin for the same reason. W7 is a tough nut to skin. I'm still kinda working on it when I'm bored. Which means - not very often. :)

I simply hate white backgrounds with passion. Whoever first started to use them on a computer should burn in hell! :metal: [old Apple IIs and Atari STs were first... then Windows on PC, IIRC]

My Reaper skin reminds me of your Modern Skin for Waves very much. It would be nice to have these, although I don't use Waves any more... but who knows? :)

Thenatan also made similar skins for some Waves plugins. Very nice. Check them out. Just search his name and "VST Waves".

    Cheers!
