I personally didn't find any noticeable feature on that forum (and it's so ugly) but really don't know why people have swarmed around it. I like quiescent and noiseless spots and know AS is the best of its kind but why isn't here crowded like there?
It is the name probably. Audiosex ... "is this something like audio gone wild on reddit?" Futureproducer "hey this site is about me"! Last edited by a moderator: Feb 19, 2018
FUTUREPRODUCER 500,000= ALL fake... AUDIOSEX 26,000= Da realest mofo's youll ever know.. im just saying.
Future producers has quite a few people who are helpful,Obie, Deranged4phunk,Troomp, just to name a few. They're also extremely helpful in teaching people the most efficient ways to use gear and software. And unlike here, they're not nearly as pompous in regards to providing actual feedback and criticism in regards to new and seasoned producer's music. In here I see a lot of "hip hop sucks" and "pop music is horrible". Most people into music, looking to improve in their hobby, aren't interested in your opinions and theories on different genres or where music is headed. They just want some technical knowledge. That place offers a ton of it.
I'm not much of a contributor (so far) but I read a lot here compared to other forums. I'm an A+ Audiosex lurker. The distinction with forums (or fora for you nazis) is that they're all about opinion. In life you don't have a right to NOT be offended and on a forum you don't get a right to not hear someone's opinion (as long as it's within the bounds of the thread). If you just want technical knowledge without any character or nonsense then RTFM, hit up a book or some of those video tutorials done by monotone nerds that, whilst being essential, aren't designed for entertainment and interactivity. A thread is a conversation and whilst you can genuinely make a case for an OP requiring straight answers, the nature of the beast is that you're bound to get tangents and comments from left field. Sometimes these are the very things that make a thread a great read for everyone - not just the OP looking for an armchair ride to an answer. To me a forum is the last place you look for a straight answer but wade through the humour, some valid alternatives you hadn't thought of, and you will probably find the answer eventually BUT be challenged along the way. TLDR; AS is more than just a FAQ on demand.
Maybe 500 000 members is just a pure lie to attract guys. I don't care the number of members. I go where I find interesting thing for me.
I'm an Audiosex and Gearslutz forum user and KVR for deals, martketplace and plug-in updates. That's enough for me. Even skipped Synthforum which is in my own language Hmz.
For pure production : Gearslutz For crazy ideas and fresh ppl : Audiosex KVR, as global database (i left their useless forum) And i NEVER cared about futureproducers To me, their propaganda is PURE bullsh*t : Alexa Ranking futureproducers.com world rank : 74,528 (and falling) audiosex.pro world rank : 42,840 (and raising) So, audiosex get a LOT more activity than futureproducers.
I agree, I get constructive feedback as well as whether they like it or not. Here, I mainly got whether they like it or not. The name of the forum (futureproducer) lets you know what your getting into. I don't want to have sex with audio (I know it's not literal). Last edited: Feb 19, 2018
You might be a little naive or just trying make some attention to yourself .... I dont know! I don´t know if you are awared that this site is assosiated to another site... I guess you are. Perhaps that´s why!?! You actually enriches/encumber us with a lot of threads here. I watch some of them, seldom make any statements because: They are seldom thought out ideas/opinions by yourself but often just something you throw in the public without a point or direction. Your threads could indeed be interesting if you would like to consider the following: Before you add a thread you should think it deep - really deep. Then rethink it again a few times, and then again... That might/should tell you if the thread you´re about to add is importend or not! I love philosophy and strange angles on everything, but it works best if there is a little deeper thought behind. Just my 5 cents foster911
I like AS for that reason. Country life. BTW as a fun fact, many of those 26,000 accounts are in fact inactive spam accounts. When new AudioZ launched (18th January 2014 ?) there was a swarm of 2000 new users on AS, as the main clickable link from AZ pointed to here. I still have a screenshot somewhere with 10,001 registered accounts from that era.
<3 Here is "underground" what i like a lot, i learn a lot here, in fact i'm here for that, i'm not a big activist of the site, because my english, is my english, there are a lot of others forums, but i 'don't care here like The Sista , mostly i find what i'm searching for, if not i search with Mr G. IMHO Little communauty are betters. AZ & AS
