Hello friends how are you? Someone knows some good multiband limiter, but that limits the signal, not that it compresses it, because all the multiband that I have seen, compresses the signal and I want one that limits, like a brickwall in each frequency.

    Thank u!!

TDR Nova + Limiter 6 GE, Waves L series, Melda’s MLimiterMB, McDSP ML4000. A limiter is a compressor with high ratio. If you want to shave, use a clipper.

To my taste, DMG Limitless is the best multiband limiter.

you can, but NB: The more you limit, the worse it sounds.

As the limiting increases, the FFT tends to a flat white noise and sound crap, esp. with things that really hammer the FFT like https://www.meldaproduction.com/MSpectralDynamics

    Sure.

is that I want to limit certain frequencies. For example in the voice. And the equalizers have not helped me because it cuts everything that happens there. An example. I want to attenuate in 1khz and 2 khz, which are the parts where I raise the voice. Then something to mitigate that. The multiband with compressor, has not served me since it compresses and the frequency keeps going too high, that's why I wanted a limiter, so that it does not directly let those spikes go by.

today I have separated 4 tracks of the voice.low, middle, high and very high. In each one I have limited a certain amount, in the highs, very little. But it has been very good for me. But I just want something where I can do all this without having to divide each track into 4 or more ..

You should try Blue Cat's MB-7, you could process each band independently with your favorite limiters.

It seems to me that you need to ride the vocal instead of processing it.

I think this is the best way to work that i need. Causa, i can play whit delay, reverb in extaly frecuency , just i can add plugin like limiter in independient frecuency.
Thanks a lot, and thanks a lot to all help me in this post.
    Sorry my sad enlgish...

@Pollice verso, thanks for putting that up. I was looking for a multiband with just two bands, and had been wanting to experiment with M/S compression as well just to see what it does to the mix.

if u want 2 make voice stand out, EQ only is absolutely fine. A gentle & wide cut @ 1.5k, on every instrument that you can, except the voice. It helps if you have instrument groups/buses. If you want to analyze the voice frequencies b4 cutting the EQ, even better.

Hello friends. I was testing the Blue Cat's MB-7 and in each frequency I worked with limiters, compressors, and in the high harmonic additions and it turned out to be better than an eq or a multiband compressor. Here I leave something short that I did .. I would like to know your opinion . I know that the voice is at a high volume, I have adjusted that.
