It is very easy to create your own kits from samples and loops available everywhere. Some of the best sets are already created. You just have to convert (Akai CDs anyone?) or extract from one source to anonther. Kontakt allows you to save instruments as non-monolithic which gives you ready to use wave files. Just look at the layer assignments & you are done. Maschine uses wave files which are mostly one shots and loops.

Get use to being self reliant as possible when it comes to software/hardware. Seeking knowledge for that will be smiled upon by most with a helping hand.

    Happy tracking....

Your response comes off as quite smug and condescending ("get used to being as self-reliant as possible, it will be smiled upon, blah blah blah). You come off very arrogant, as if you are possessing some knowledge the rest of us don't have. AKAI's sample library is known to be one of the best. Their drum kits for their MPC samplers are second to none. OP was no doubt looking specifically for AKAI MPC 2000/4000 kits. It is a simple request with no need for "schooling" one on creating their own kits. Drum samples have to originate somewhere. Unless one is sampling their own drums, AKAI kits are a great source for high quality drum hits. They are clean and rarely overproduced (unlike most of the packs out there- which are processed to hell and useless). The funny thing is, most sample packs out there are using a lot of AKAI samples with added processing and FX.

I replied like I did because it sounded very weird to me that someone would just go to a forum and ask people to send them samples. To me that sounds lazy and rude, sorry. As if MPC samples are so hard to find yourself, either. Just give it a slight effort on the sister site or the Internet search of choice and you'll be rewarded.

Are you looking for MPC drum kits because you have an MPC XXXX sampler, so in native SND format, or you're just looking for WAV or AIFF samples to use in a software sampler of some kind? There is a nice pile of Akai compatible and any sampler compatible drum kits available on the sister site.

Also, what kind of drum samples are you looking for? More details would be helpful, too. The way you put it is like going to a supermarket and saying "give me something I can eat" to a cashier.

I can treat you with a couple of links like this: http://samples.kb6.de/downloads.php and this: http://www.hexawe.net/mess/200.Drum.Machines/

Those two links contain all the raw vintage drum machine samples you'll ever need.

So you don't have a hardware MPC and you're looking for samples converted into WAVs? Try downloading MPC-Software sample libraries from the sister site and see how you like them.

Not trying to be smug or condescending. Just pointing out the obvious. If you put in the work, you get results, knowledge & skills.

Would you do all of your childs homework & assignments or, would you encourage them to be independent as possible.

As a previous user of Akai hardware and software, I know there are sources for what you are seeking if you take the time and search. The option of creating your own ensures you get the quality you seek as mentioned in your response.

And who TF are you to judge his response so harshly? quadcore64 is absolutely right.

I don't need a giant pile. Just a pile would be sufficient. Thank you in advance.

    Faithfully, Nigerian prince.:)
