Still won’t help you with intonation, stretching new strings out and compensating for vintage style trems... I wonder if Gibson’s robot tuners patent had a loophole for another company to improve on it. Henry’s pathetic ass deserves to lose due to the way he’s plowing that company into the ground anyways.

multiple guitars with different tunings, hanneman-style soloing on old guits w/o locking mechs, banjos- this seems like a serious time saver :dunno:

  11. I wouldn't ever in a million years install a robot tuning gizmo on any of my guitars, but this looks interesting. I was contemplating a Peterson tuner and I think that I would rather go with the tried and true. And while speaking of building a better mousetrap, I did buy one of those Thalia capos and really love it. They are stupid expensive but are really fantastic, both the way they look and more importantly that they work very well. But that is for another thread.

I remember those robot things you're talking about- right? no chance! But this things does look interesting - I'll try to get out to check one out this weekend, will file a report on the findings haha

  13. I have perfect relative tuning, not perfect pitch and still need a near perfect foundation from which to start if I am not tuning to another instrument. Do you have perfect pitch? If you do it is a wonderful thing.

its not that so much as multiple shredders wasting good studio time tuning. worth checking out IMO

"Gimmi ur E" works for me. Maybe that thing makes a good winder, but if tuning like a normal human being is hard, there's always the cowbell :)

I honestly don't see how this is any better than a clamp on tuner.

very similar in that its reading string vibrations except this is moving the machine heads to optimal point as well... shit if this thing delivers its promise the gd 12 strings might even come out again!
