So I've installed through a virtual machine, copied the register and complete image line folder. Still after a while(sometimes 10min sometimes 2hours) suddenly it goes in 'demo mode'. You need to update your license information. After a restart of fruity loops, the demo mode is gone.

Anyone who knows how to fix this? Running fl 12.5.1 (build 165).

I Already blocked it from the internet through firewall.

It seems the patch has worked at least for some other users on this forum. Did you make sure to clean up the imageline folder really good before installing and patching? Best way is to backup all your personal stuff (careful there are lots of personal folders) and delete the whole FL 12 and shared folder after that, to make sure your installation is as clean as possible.

Why did you install through a virtual machine?

Never installed in VM, but had no problems installing in Win 8.1 and 10. Mine's installed side-by-side with earlier versions of FL (just install to a different dir, there will be some shared folders but they don't seem to interfere), so doubt that's the issue.

Which shared folder are you talking about? Because I referred to the one inside the IL directory and that one can be an issue for sure!, because there are 50 files in it which get patched. :winker: So of course it needs to be deleted to have a clean install. :guru:

Have multiple versions of FL running on the same box.

I suppose this could cause issues, tho never did for me.
Can't remember all the shared folders offhand, but there's \Users\you\Documents\Image-Line\Data (& of course all the registry entries).

Don't know how it affects older versions if you delete it.:dunno:

But yes. It's the shared folder in your screenshot.
    Windows shared folders don't matter!

Not sure I understand what you're saying. You told OP to "clean up the imageline folder really good before installing and patching." I suggested that previous versions are unlikely to be the source of OP's problems -- I have multiple versions of FL installed, side-by side, on the same machine, working just fine.

Wrong! You left out the shared folder from your recap..:bleh:

I told OP to clean up and don't forget shared folder.
Then you came along and suggested the shared folder does not matter.
I corrected you and specified the place of said folder and told you why it does matter..

What part did you not understand?
And I don't know how it affects your older versions of Blorg FL if you delete the shared folder..:winker::dunno:

The part where you tell OP to "clean up the imageline folder really good before installing and patching."
Never had to uninstall previous versions of FL to install a newer one, or dick around with folders, probably because any team capable of writing a shell script is also capable of taking care of whatever housekeeping needs doing.
Or, at least, remembering to mention it in their install instructions, like so:

0.1 Uninstall previous version of FL Studio
0.2 Dick around with folders because we wouldn't know how to delete a directory called "Image-Line" if it needed deleting; computers is hard :(

    1.Install FL Studio.
2.Run our keygen under admin rights.
    3.Register and patch.
    4.Enjoy!

the Reg will only patch the last installed version, whether it is a beta or non-beta, so keep that in mind.

@Blorg, sry but I'm not stickin my dick anywhere near girls you have touched before...

    Let me be clear:
I explained the "folder thing" in several other threads before, I know exactly why I tell this again and again, and we had members who accidentally deleted personal files like the plugin database which can take hours to rebuild. I just wanted to make this "deleting" thing clear.

what reg? Since when does a reg patch anything?

    Or you enjoying trolltime? :bleh::disco:
