What's up you guys, currently writing this from my office at work lol (SLOW DAY).

Anyway, I wanted to see what you guys thought about the new Ableton 10. I've heard mixed reviews about the beta and just wanted to see what you guys are most excited about.

--The main reason I made this post was to reference one of my older posts about Audio Warping Modes in Ableton and how they aren't the best when warping full songs to DJ with. (at least to me).
-specifically the artifacts that are introduced to the songs even when using Complex, or Complex Pro modes.

I'm wondering if any if you guys know if there are going to be any new changes to the warp modes in Ableton 10 as I haven't read anything about it specifically.

You mean the auto-beat matching time-stretching feature? I don't use Ableton so I can't be of much help.

@Xupito yes, that is what I'm referring to. Apparently Ableton and most DAW's all have the same time stretching algorithm. It sounds nothing compared to say the Algorithm that comes with Traktor for example. The time stretching in Traktor is amazing. Rarely get artifacts.

performance from ableton 10 is nice.....

for me i do not like the new gui style... the clips should look like more "polished!" instead of flat, or flatter than ever...
this reminds me my first software on atari ... cubase 1... was flat too....

the mixer section should be click able for a solo monitor..... this means monitor 3 for ableton.

the mp3 rendering is nice, hopefully there code is studio quality, too-.-
    a
ableton should have some skins, to choose. actually i would use the ableton9 skin for work. they changed the algorythem from the reverb, too.

you can change the size by zoom 200%
actually ableton is 4k ready, i think you can hack this zoomfactor if 8k is coming next year.

    finally....

also the new ableton did note make a good musician to you! :) this didnt change.

I thought you were going somewhere else with the title. The Beta is now public. By the way, I'm very excited.

Super stoked! They fixed some major things that Live was lacking til now like editing multiple midi tracks in one piano roll and grouping inside of groups.

funny thing is that 99% of the people who don't make music still won't see the difference.

I just hope the splash screen for the actual release isn't pink and purple.

Honestly guys, I'm so excited about the built-in maxforlive business.
max for live offers so many endless possibilities with Ableton, you can literally do anything.
I can't wait to try out the new built in Drumsynth things they have going on.

well a nice green would be nice, but pink/purple does make it look ghay.
think v9 beta had an orange splash screen, loved that one too.
think lite version has blue splash.

inbuild max4live is so stunning fast, compared to v9 max4live.
i want def use more max devices and stop crying for an default LFO device. :D

Me too. I was very close to use Live just for the integration with Max but the combined resource hungriness was too much for my old PC.

Excited? I'm pissed. Why would they ruin workflow with unnecessary automation mode? All they had to do for this update was add some long requested features, like comping, better routing, maybe some mixer improvements and precise automation(write the values for automation points). No, they couldn't do it. They couldn't even do Max integration right. Ableton became a very arrogant company and it can afford not doing anything since they are so big now.

I dig the new automation feature. Maybe not everyone works the same way.
I agree, there are other improvements that could have been made. I was looking forward to seeing an update for Operator since it's my favorite synth but I'm pretty sure it stayed the same... doesn't mean we can't all write great music though. All the tools are there. The only thing stopping us is ourselves.
