@foster911 Judging others because of the music they create, shows only one that your view is narrow minded. But I think you should start a new thread about this.
@fraifikmushi Drum & Bass is part of EDM so it is right . And my project will cover more styles than Drum & Bass as written before.

Obviously, EDM is the abbreviation for electronic dance music. Today, EDM as a term, is used mainly as a description for certain genres and for a marketing scheme. The real scene, the one that was there before EDM became a billion dollar business and that will still be there after the bubble bursts, looks down to EDM and it's derivatives.
You can be an electronic musician across the genres and don't touch EDM with a ten foot pole at the same time.

 

@fraifikmushi I agree, but for me it is not relevant. I don't feel bad using the term EDM, because it is so broad. Although it seems to have a bad reputation (because of that billion dollar business). I see myself as a musician at first ... Genres are just there to give the listener a hint what to expect ... at least I see it this way. The track itself is tagged and marked as Drum & Bass and somehow this suits best. But yes, to separate from the "big business EDM" we can call ourselves simply electronic musicians. I am fine with it.
