I don't like Apple because of it's sh*tty price!
I had used Windows for at least 11 year but last year, I decided to turn my PC into a hackintosh. At first, it was a painful thing to do. A lot of things to learn and try...
But hey, it's worth doing and I never look back until Windows has the same simplicity and stability as MacOS.
Before the switch, my Scarlett 18i8 often has driver/dpc latency/sampling rate issue with Windows 10. I'm a quite advanced user and I know how to build a PC and tweak it to what I like. But no matter what I do, I cannot have rock solid PC for DAW usage. After turning my PC into a hackintosh, my workflow speed up so much and my 18i8 works much more reliably.
I'm not Apple's hardware fan. I have android tablet, Blackberry phone and my PC powered by 6-year-old 2600k. It's not the hardware's price, it's just the OS and its audio platform.

 

And that’s the only reason why I want a Hackintosh. If Microsoft ever made a proper stripped down Windows embedded OS for audio pros they would absolutely CRUSH Apple.

 

Had I made an argument, I wouldn't have defeated it myself. I just can't believe anyone would think it's an argument. How did you arrive at that conclusion considering what I posted, both the picture and what I wrote? Do you speak English fluently? (Edit: maybe I don't ha!) It's cool if you don't, but I can't imagine what else it may be.

Edit: I see a mistake I made but It still doesn't account for your reasoning. I meant to say: "... and your children . . ."

Me too! That's the only reason for me to mess up with all hackintosh's stuff and now I have a rock-solid hackintosh for DAW usage.

If Windows has the same ease of use and audio platform's stability, I will go back to it because AMD Ryzen is really attractive for the price I pay.

 

I have windows on my mac.. runs perfect.. i mix and master on the pc side.. make music on the mac side..

No need to pay for another setup.. trust me..


Also, Are you into making music or chasing software?

B4 I installed windows, my music production increased due to me not trying to get all the latest softwAre..

In other words.. get a decent setup and stop chasing every release.. it becomes addicitve and you wont be productive at your craft!

 

Apple is a very shady company and will never deserve a single penny from me. Horrible business model and terrible company. I feel sorry for anyone using any of their products. Just my 2cp

First world problems.

 

You could if you don't build it and get preinstalled O/S, possible to be up and running even faster than the mac if you buy from a seller who builds audio pc's. Cost you a bit more but you get a choice unlike the mac. Save money or time, pc market has many more options.

Mhm I feel you. It can be a pain in the ass troubleshooting a hackintosh but once you've perfected it it's such a great experience. I have a perfectly working X99 hack with 6 cores at 4.7 ghz and a gtx 1080 ti w/ 32 gb ram (128 max) AND thunderbolt 3. The base iMac pro would be a sidegrade at best and my whole system could be built for around $2200 USD currently. Its nice not having to deal with Microsoft's fuckery OR Apple's shit (and overpriced) hardware selection. The price Apple is charging for systems with midrange AMD cards is a sin.

 

I heard Apple will sponsor R2R this year, to not lose all its customers, so everything should be fine.

I've had mine since 2009 (Mac Pro) and had zero issues with it. Still probably better than most machines today... so I'd say I wasn't ripped off
I also spent $1000 on software this Christmas, so my cars fuel is good. Got money falling out my arse!

I prefer quality above quantity . I have been 20 years on windows and as a microsoft licensed system engineer. I know why i made the change to osx . Stability above quantity.
