I always think the best way to get yourself some votes is to ask your Friends.

You know, those people who have known you for a while and have interacted and
chatted with you. People you may have had a laugh or two with, or those that
you have selflessly helped out.

How many times do you open your wallet to those "strangers" on the street asking
for some spare change or wanting a cigarette? I guess your answers are the same
as mine GRIZZ. Best of luck with your contest, if your mix warrants votes it WILL
receive votes. If not then you join the thousands of others trying to learn the
skills to gain votes. If that is the case, you would do well to stick around here
and ingratiate yourself with the good folks herein. You will DEFINITELY gain some
great advice from some seriously knowledgeable Audio Wizards and maybe even make
some new web Friends.....

Or, Smartlad has lived up to his name again and you`ll just disappear until the

If you knew that you gonna have public voting, why didn't you just join the forum(s) earlier, been active a little, than ask for this, this is pure spamming and it's really in the times when people don't give a shit about anything, especially registering to some other site to vote

You know it also goes down to people actually knowing that a poll, a contest or whatever is taking place but you can also say that if people wanted to they'd look for it anyway or they'd at least be somewhere near those grounds. And anyhow, I'd much rather get a small amount of people who are really interested to hop in and make some constructive criticism and actually care for what they're going through. I mean, I like to help people but that's because I also went looking into their thread knowing that from the title or because I was in a good mood or had some minutes to spare or whatever and definitely not giving away some numbers (well, maybe except money) but something they can build and improve upon. Even in a political level: Charity is good, but you overall need to make the majority of the people brighter and happier 'cause that actually makes you happier too and your society more stable. And how would I feel if I knew that "oh, 20% didn't give a shit, 25% want an exchange of votes, who actually listened to it and blah blah blah". I say fuck that shit. I'd be in doubt. Except if it's just about winning. Air, poof. What's left of it? A vote isn't going to change anything if the material itself isn't supporting it. True, on all levels. Thank you kind sir for firing up some constructive criticism still. *yes*

Make your stuff available and known but make sure it is worth it and that people can also appreciate the person behind it.

Well despite all the text above me, it's a pretty good instrumental under the vocals. I'm not really up on the organ but the drum beats killer. Nice highhat/snare work. Some parts are kinda bare though, you can notice it a lot in the second verse where the vocals get a little weak and need shit underneath to carry it.

But in the end I haven't heard the original track so I don't know.

I will say good luck because asking for votes on a sight you have to sign up for an account on is gonna be rough. A lot of average users get freaked out about making accounts for things they don't use and others see it as they're building mailing lists to market the movie merch and other third party crap for.

So good luck on both the votes and getting people to sign up for an account. It sounds like an uphill battle.
