This song deserves more attention, so here's a little bump.

I t starts pretty lowfi, than some have 'washed out' synths come in and it slowly turns into a beautiful war song. I hear some Radiohead or Aphex Twin in this. And I like!

See that pisses me off thats not working music, its just samples mixed toghether, the real music is when you actuall play Guitar Drums Keys ect...
all though its easy listening, its not something Sony Records would say Hey You come to the Studio we wanna have you re record it on our equipment, or go to a club, Hall ect or play it live
you wouldnt no where to start, oh DJ Style plug in the record and let it play Thats what Happend to Milly Vanilly Crapper who got hte Boot... Point is Play some Instruments like a Real Musician..... Piece

 

Dont worry studio5599, this is not just a bunch of 'construction kits' that fit well together, mixed.
I make music by this 'unreal' approach just because two reasons:

- First, because I like it, and because it lets me expand the sound posibilities/palette, and experiment A LOT in the writing process. I´m not just an 'instrumental musician', I LOVE working with sound and this is how I learn some techniques. There´s not any Audio School where I live so this is the way to 'study' if you like this audio stuff.

- Second, because I do not own any recording equipament (sorry, I´m lying, I bought my first mbox-mini recently, but it´s not installed yet) or all the instruments I wish to have, so this 'unreal' way is a NICE WAY and works fine for me: It lets me make some arrangements and layering stuff, avoiding the 'record everything I imagine' stage, because I can´t afford to it yet, professionally (it´s sad that hardware and instruments are so expensive, my friend).

Dont misunderstand the word 'sample' in the track´s description. I used just a 0.02 seconds sample and a fragment of the original song as a 'intro' because the contest´s purposes. **I attach you the small sample.

I wrote everything else from there, note by note. Even the percussion samples are the result of mangling 'real' stuff through a new kaosspad bought by a friend, and some of the layers/textures you hear are destroyed 'real played/recorded guitars'. Because the guitar´s sound was so poorly recorded, I used this situation as 'an aesthetic resource' and make the bad sounding guitars unrecognizable by editing and processing. They fit better in the song in that way.

So, as I said before, this is not a construction kit. I like to work with and create my own sounds, and write my music from scratch. If I don´t have equipament and instruments, without a DAW I couldn´t reach the deadline and send a song to the contest in a few days, so don´t judge everything by 'real or unreal', use the tools as what they are and enjoy music.

Please, let me know what you think about them. I´m mostly the guitar on the left side. Sadly, we couldn't record the drummer so yes.. drums were midi written. "Sadly" because my drummer friend plays as a fucking master.

Btw.. I play guitar, but also have some piano skills. That´s why I can write some other stuff and understand about music theory.
