I have a problem, if I add Liberis in the library tab then Venus Symphonic Women's Choir disappear from the library tab. If I try to re-add Venus in the tab Kontakt 5 says "8Dio Liberis already exist in the library tab", seems that Kontakt thinks Liberis and Venus are the same thing!
If I want to re-add Venus I have first to remove Liberis from Kontakt and then delete his files from the regisry system! How can I resolve that thing?

    @ Diabulus in Musica,

Do you have checked their own 'ID Number' as added 'Kontakt' Libraries ?
I mean, all the users that want to 'add' a Library that can't be added 'normally' have to create a specific '.nicnt' file (+ Wallpaper) for properly registering the Library... and maybe your 'Venus' & '8DIO Liberis' Libraries share this same 'ID Number'...

Just a suggestion, I'm not sure at all of this fact ! *no*

    Hi Studio 555!

Uhmm no, but how can I check if they are sharing the same id number? And if so, how can I modify their id's?

    Thanks for the answer! :mates:

    @ Diabulus in Musica,

Hence my suggestion to check this fact to be sure that your trouble doesn't come from here.
You can check this with the following method :

First, select the '.nicnt' file of the desired Kontakt Libray. Simply click once on them (not double-click !), then right click your mouse to open the Menu. Within the Menu, either choose 'Open' or 'Open with...' (if available).

'Windows' will tell you that it cannot open this kind of file by itself. Simply tick : 'Select the program from a list', then click on OK, as depicted in the above image.

The next step is to choose a program to use for opening this '.nicnt' file. Choose 'Notepad' (Windows), then OK.

:excl: Just pay attention to keep the : 'Always use the selected program to open this kind of file' unticked. If for you, it's ticked by default, untick it !
This is very important because if you leave it 'ticked', 'Windows' will consider that all the 'nicnt' files that it may find afterward can (or must) be open as '.txt' files, and it's absolutely not the main goal of this operation !!!
    :excl:

'8DIO Guitar Library' --> '.nicnt' detailed content

'EWQL Stordrum' --> '.nicnt' detailed content

Within these 2 images, that represent the detailed content of their respective '.nicnt' files, you can see that both Kontakt Libraries ('8DIO Guitar Library' & 'EWQL Stormdrum') have a multitude of different figures (numbers), and that's the main reason of my previous suggestion, because in your own case, if your '8DIO Liberis' & 'Venus Choir' Kontakt Libraries have different settings like these 2 examples provided here, there's logically any reason that both can't be properly and independently registered (added) within your Kontakt Database...

Hope it help in some way !

    Hi Studio 555!

Firsr of all thanks for your help! :mates:

I have opened the .nicnt files with note pad as your guide says and they are differents from the images you have posted.

    Here they are:

    Liberis

    Venus

I think there's something wrong in them but I don't know what it is! Another thing I haven't noticed before is that I have to re-add Venus everytime I run Kontakt 5 because it disappear from the library tab after Kontakt 5 has been closed! :dunno:

    Hey Lady Gaga!

Thanks a lot for your advice, it worked! *yes* Now Kontakt see Liberis and Venus as two different libraries and, moreover, now Venus is always there when I run Kontakt!

    Thanks again!

Let me offer you a virtual beer!

You have probably resolved this by now but i randomly came across this thread :)

It's cos the SNPID numbersboth start ab7. Kontakt only recognises the first 3 characters.

Here, both Libreries survive well together.
    8dio = Liberis and Soundiron = Venus...
8dio and Soundiron where in the past the same company. Things into Libs could be similar.
