Hey guys I would really appreciate some advice here as I don't even know the correct terminology of some of this but I'll do my best! I am a piano player that is getting into Pro Audio software and stuff and have found a hobby that I know will be life long! I'll get to the point...

Two questions:

1) I am trying to modify a sound in Omniverse (Ableton Live 9) that has say a 60 BPM rhythm. I want to use it in a song that is roughly 75 BPM. I tried playing with the arpeggiator but that seems to make the sounds play faster within the patch itself but doesn't increase the BPM of the whole thing. Sorry my vocabulary isn't up to snuff yet If you could point me to a good reference in sound creation/modification that would be much appreciated as there is so much info that I kind of need a good jumping off point.

2) I am trying to do a C - G - Dm -Am progression but it seems that the patches only do major chords. Is ther a way to change that?

So to any n00bs following after me...The plugins respect the BPM setting in your DAW for the arpeggiation! <smack> duh!

 

If you want to play major and minor chords, you can make the arpeggiatior only play one note instead of a triad or whatever; then you can midi in any chord you want
