FL studio 12.9 comes after 12.1.5 and then FL 20????
Maybe it would be better to call next version 99.99.1 ???
Or like iPhone, samplitude, logic, sonar - X or X1, but first 12.9 should appear, then 20 then 99.99.1 and finally X1.
When all X'es start to be annoying like FL X11, there will be FL 2019, FL 2019 2, FL 2019 3 (FL 2020 beta1 2021 rc1) etc. Haahahahhaha

 

For someone that will NOT BUY the product, you really seem very worried about the name or version....

 

I am not worried, only surprised the way they want to name it. Next big update will be FL 30?

For example , I never understood poikosoft with EZ CD. They release small versions like 5.01, 5.02, 5.03 and then sum them up and release this as 5.1 or/and 6.0, and later there are no 5.01-5.03 anymore. Why they do this? Marketing, hyping all these small versions as a big new one?

Does this mean no ~cough~ conflicts with any other FL installs if installed to a fresh dir? Or would it still overwrite some stuff? TL;DR: should I install it on a junk laptop first?

 

just downloading the installer 148 kB/s ..., anyway going to install it to a new folder, and the registry was exported with regedit (442MB)

so it should be disabled

Don't do that. Small added features aren't worth putting yourself in a big challenge.

I really don't know why Image-Line doesn't surprise us with more tools and facilities. Maybe it's because they've expanded their economy so don't have much time to add more stuff to FLS.

@foster911 the one thing I wish they'd add is sane beat mapping (as in "I stick markers on the beats, FL adjust the tempo to follow"). To be fair tho, people were complaining about not enough tracks, weird PDC, and not being able to have multiple time sigs per project.

So appreciated for this great thread. I see a day in the not too distant future that @Von_Steyr opens a thread with this title "Adios muchachos my beloved ex-DAW Cubase, because VS met FLS but so late". Maybe he gets murdered by Cubase.

BTW does this version work with R2R's keygen?
