SpectMorph
SpectMorph is a free software project which allows to analyze samples of musical instruments, and to combine them (morphing). It can be used to construct hybrid sounds, for instance a sound between a trumpet and a flute; or smooth transitions, for instance a sound that starts as a trumpet and then gradually changes to a flute. In its current version, SpectMorph ships with many ready-to-use instruments which can be combined using morphing.
SpectMorph is implemented in C++ and licensed under the GNU LGPL version 3.

Introduction
pMix is a sound design, composition and performance tool for Mac OSX that allows you to morph between VST plugin presets using an intuitive graphical interface.

Presets are represented by coloured balls that are positioned on a 2D plane. The size of each ball and its proximity to the cursor affects the weight of the associated preset in the interpolation.

Morphing between presets often results in the discovery of interesting hybrid sounds. By constraining sound manipulations within a predesigned "interpolation space" complex transitions can be achieved that would otherwise be hard to manage.

pMix can load four VST2 audio plug-ins. It comes with a suite of specially designed plug-ins which cover a range of experimental DSP techniques (noise generators, FM synthesis, formant filtering, frequency shifting etc). These plug-ins can also be used in other VST host applications.

What's new in this version?

• Support for Unicode filenames/pathnames. This fixes the long standing problem with pathnames containing non-ASCII characters.
• Reorganized and streamlined synthesis options in the Sound menu. Choose various options under the "Synthesis Method" submenu.
• Reorganized synthesis preferences.
• Preferences for controlling noise resynthesis. The noise bandwidth and filter order can be adjusted. High filter orders will produce a noise band with a steeper amplitude cutoff slope.
• Adjustments to the scaling effect of the noise slider.
• Windows bug fixes.

Introduction
SPEAR is an application for audio analysis, editing and synthesis. The analysis procedure (which is based on the traditional McAulay-Quatieri technique) attempts to represent a sound with many individual sinusoidal tracks (partials), each corresponding to a single sinusoidal wave with time varying frequency and amplitude.

Something which closely resembles the original input sound (a resynthesis) can be generated by computing and adding all of the individual time varying sinusoidal waves together. In almost all cases the resynthesis will not be exactly identical to the original sound (although it is possible to get very close).

Aside from offering a very detailed analysis of the time varying frequency content of a sound, a sinusoidal model offers a great deal of flexibility for editing and manipulation. SPEAR supports flexible selection and immediate manipulation of analysis data, cut and paste, and unlimited undo/redo. Hundreds of simultaneous partials can be synthesized in real-time and documents may contain thousands of individual partials dispersed in time. SPEAR also supports a variety of standard file formats for the import and export of analysis data.

Current Status
Currently SPEAR runs on MacOS X (PowerPC), MacOS 9 and Windows. For a variety of reasons SPEAR will probably operate better on MacOS X. The program is still in a pre-1.0 stage, meaning that not only will there be some bugs but that significant underlying changes may still take place before a 1.0 release. With that said, it is currently quite stable and useful.

"Spazial" is a powerfull audio VST designed for create wide stereo effect and is able to encode and divide the incoming stereo signal into M / S signals but also for decode M / S signals into stereo signal

"Spazial" uses different ways to processing the incoming signal. There are 5 modes of using it : "internal", "send mid", "send side", "spazial" and "decoder mode". "Spazial" allows the processing of the signals encoded by five potentiometers on the panel or sends the encoded pure signals directly to the output via the functions "enc mid" and enc-side. "

The panel also has a useful high-pass filter and a special vibrato control. Spazial is free donationware and available in VST format for Windows.

■ EQ 01 M/S

​

EQ 01 M/S is the first component on the "SPAZIAL series" It is double equalizer for mid/side signal.

It is able to encode the incoming stereo signal into M / S signal, then equalizes M/S signal and converts into stereo signal. It can works also in "encoder" mode. Can be put in series with "SPAZIAL" or any decoder M / S, but is also designed to work alone. EQ 01 M / S is a component of the line "SPAZIAL".

Just like an audio effects plugin (such as a VST), a Vamp plugin is a binary module that can be loaded up by a host application and fed audio data. However, unlike an effects plugin, a Vamp plugin generates not more audio, but some sort of symbolic information. Typical things that a Vamp plugin might calculate include the locations of moments such as note onset times, visualisable representations of the audio such as spectrograms, or curve data such as power or fundamental frequency.
